The Haunting of Bly Manor
Limited series premiere (all nine episodes): The Hill House follow-up is set in 1980s England and follows a young American nanny (Victoria Pedretti) who is hired to care for two orphaned children; Henry Thomas, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel and Catherine Parker appear in new roles. The Right Stuff
Series premiere (first two episodes, followed by weekly rollout): This latest adaptation of Tom Wolfe’s 1979 book chronicles the early days of the U.S. space program and the lives of the Mercury Seven; Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Jake McDorman (Murphy Brown), Aaron Staton (Mad Men), Colin O’Donoghue (Once Upon a Time), James Lafferty (One Tree Hill) and Patrick Fischler (Happy!) star. The West Wing Marathon
The network will air a handful of themed episodes each Friday in the lead-up to November’s presidential election. First up, Season 3’s “Hartsfield’s Landing,” which has been recreated for an HBO Max reunion special (premiering Oct. 15; watch trailer). (Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford and creator Aaron Sorkin guest on CBS’ Late Show tonight at 11:35 pm.)
Season 4 premiere: In “Don’t Trust the G in Apt 4B” (we see what you did there!), Booker and Nia convince Levi, Tess and Ramon to skip trick-or-treating and join them at a haunted apartment.
