TV Couples In Crisis: Get Updates On 15 Pairs We Were Worried About From Chicago Fire, 9-1-1: Lone Star And More

It's time to check in with some of our favorite current TV couples, even if that title no longer applies to all of them.

TVLine entered 2022 by expressing our concerns about 15 small-screen 'ships we feared wouldn't last through 2023. And in certain cases, we were extremely right to worry.

From 9-1-1: Lone Star's T.K. and Carlos to Superman & Lois' Jordan and Sarah, many of these twosomes are in very different places than they were back in January. Now that we're a third of the way through the year, we're taking stock of their progress.

A quick disclaimer: This being a list of couples on the rocks, it's basically a spoiler minefield. You might want to turn back if you aren't up to speed with the shows mentioned above, along with All American; And Just Like That...; The Big Leap; Chicago Fire; The Good Doctor; Grey's Anatomy; Love, Victor; New Amsterdam; SEAL Team; Sex Education; Succession; Virgin River; or Yellowstone.

All good? OK, now read on to find out how the 15 couples we worried about in January are doing in April, then drop a comment with your own couples in crisis below.

T.K. and Carlos, 9-1-1: Lone Star

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: Forget the deadly ice storm currently ravaging Texas. The real crisis of Season 3 is the mystery of why T.K. and Carlos called it quits over the hiatus. We don't think the show would be foolish enough to keep this couple apart forever, but as Nancy might say, it's looking "not good" right now.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Not only did T.K. survive his icy brush with death, but he and Carlos also got back together. Both halves of "Tarlos" are now living their best lives in a beautiful new loft.

Jordan and Simone, All American

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: With Simone heading to college (and her own spinoff) soon, while Jordan makes eyes at Layla back in Beverly Hills, it feels like the writing's on the wall for these two. But hey, as rebounds go, Simone could do way worse than Bringston University's Damon Sims.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Sure, on paper, Jordan and Simone are still together. But now that Simone knows she and Damon aren't cousins (long story), she's been looking longingly at him much more often, while Jordan and Layla's friendship in California has deepened to middle-of-the-night-phone-calls status. All told, a Jordan/Simone breakup seems to remain inevitable.

Miranda and Steve, And Just Like That...

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: These two were always one of our favorite Sex and the City pairs, but they're hanging on by a thread now that the passion has gone out of their marriage... and now that Miranda has found that passion (and a lot of it!) in a steamy affair with Che. Will Steve find out? (He did cheat on her once, and she forgave him, fans will remember.) And if even if he forgives her, will Miranda even want to stay with him? We've already lost Big — don't take this away, too!

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Miranda came clean to Steve about Che and asked him for a divorce before running off to L.A. with her new love. So yeah, we were right to be worried.

Gabby and Reggie, The Big Leap

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: The rabbit died, for starters. No sooner had the dance partners pirouetted past his kiss with an old flame than we, if not he, discovered that his pas de deux with Brittney had left her pregnant. On top of that, the curtain may fall on the bubble show before it even has a chance to drop on "Grabby."

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Considering Fox cancelled The Big Leap last month, you probably shouldn't expect any "Grabby" updates.

Severide and Stella, Chicago Fire

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: The more Severide insists that everything is good between him and Stella, even though she ignored his calls and messages for months, the less we believe him. Plus, Wendy Seager just keeps popping up!

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Stella had a lot of explaining to do when she finally returned to the Windy City, and while we're still not quite buying her reasoning for ignoring Severide's calls/messages, he finally presented her with an engagement ring, and the couple appear to be sailing toward a wedding.

Shaun and Lea, The Good Doctor

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: When we last left the groom- and bride-to-be, Shaun had demanded that Lea go to her superior and admit that she manipulated his patient satisfaction scores. Perhaps even more telling: In a fit of rage, Dr. Murphy told his fiancé that he could no longer trust her and crumpled up their contract for a wedding venue.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Shaun and Lea ultimately reconciled. And after Shaun's re-proposal, the wedding is back on!

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: We know, we know, they technically aren't a couple anymore. But since he'd come around on the whole marriage issue, we still held out hope for Scout's parents... until, that is, Link spied Amelia kissing colleague Kai in the midseason finale, and we got a gander at the look on his face in the first photos from the winter premiere. Yikes.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Since then, the scalpel's been stuck even deeper into their relationship, as she's begun sleeping with Kai, and he and Jo, however briefly, became friends with benefits.

Benji and Victor, Love, Victor

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: If you 'ship Victor and Rahim, then you probably don't care that Victor and first boyfriend Benji could be done for good. But given the couple's endless angst in Season 2, and the sweet slow dance that Victor and Rahim shared at Mia's dad's wedding, it's seeming less and less likely that Benji was the one to open the door in last summer's cliffhanger.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: No update... yet. The Hulu series' third and final season premiere June 15.

Iggy and Martin, New Amsterdam

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: Iggy's hire of the super flirty Trevor definitely raised some red flags. While the move might just be an (inappropriate) ego boost, it could also easily spell trouble for his marriage, should the compliments grow into something more.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: We'll know more when New Amsterdam returns from its hiatus on April 19, but according to Tyler Labine, we haven't seen the last of Iggy's flirtatious assistant Trevor (played by Ryan Faucett) — and it sounds like that is going to cause big trouble for Iggy and Martin

Jason and Mandy, SEAL Team

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: Back in Episode 9, Jason — already grappling with (meaning: denying) his memory issues/TBI — learned from his former father-in-law that Alana back in the day painted a rosier-than-reality picture of their home life, so that he could stay focused in the war zone. Off that emotional run-in, Jason refused to share with Mandy his pain, instead saying through some tears, "I have a lot on my plate." In that case, a snubbed Mandy decided, maybe they should hit pause on their recurring rendezvouses — and Jason quietly agreed.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: After completing the clandestine Venezuela op. Jason — nudged by  Sonny, of all people — tracked down Mandy in the season finale and expressed his vision for their future. Following the most ill-timed book club interruption in TV history, she got back to him to emphatically declare herself to be on the same page. "I'm not going anywhere," she told Jason before Bravo spun up again; "That works for me," he responded. Of course, Jason done got blowed up with the rest of Bravo in the finale's final moments, but... 'til death do us part?

Otis and Maeve, Sex Education

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: The star-crossed teens may have finally expressed their feelings for each other (and shared a few smooches, too), but Maeve's trip the States for a study abroad stint could wreak havoc on their love-to-be. One full semester in teen years might as well be a lifetime apart!

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Patience, everybody. A release date for Sex Education's fourth season has yet to be announced.

Shiv and Tom, Succession

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: Well, we were never not worried about this fractured pair, who always seemed like a chilly marriage of convenience. But after the Season 3 finale, which saw Tom rat out Shiv and get welcomed into Logan's inner circle, we're officially on high alert. (Shiv knows that Tom betrayed her, but does he know that she knows?) We suppose they could just stay together while secretly hating and plotting against each other... so nothing all that new, really.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: The same, unfortunately. We won't have any news on the Shiv-Tom front until Succession returns for its fourth season — which doesn't even have a premiere date yet.

Jordan and Sarah, Superman & Lois

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: Absence is supposed to make the heart grow fonder, but after spending the summer apart, Jordan and Sarah seem to have lost the spark that brought them together in Season 1. Their premiere reunion was more awkward than romantic — and not just because he surprised her with a blindfolded trip back to the site of their arrest.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Jordan and Sarah's relationship actually survived quite a bit in Season 2, including the revelation that she kissed a girl while away at summer camp. Unfortunately, it was Jordan's secrecy (re: the whole "having superpowers" thing) that ultimately led to their demise; when he couldn't tell her why he was M.I.A. during her mother's mayoral election, Sarah broke up with him.

Mel and Jack, Virgin River

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: The Netflix drama's third season ended with Mel interrupting Jack's proposal to tell him that she's pregnant... and she doesn't know if the baby is his or Mark's! We're honestly not sure how things could possibly be worse between them at this juncture.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: No update just yet. Virgin River's fourth season (which cannot get here soon enough!) still hasn't announced a release date.

Kayce and Monica, Yellowstone

OUR JANUARY JITTERS: In the Season 4 finale, Kayce put himself through a torturous Native American ritual in order to see a vision — which turned out to be of — gulp — "the end of us," he told his expectant wife. Also, we don't think for a minute that "Miss Pouty Lips" Avery was reintroduced just so that Kayce could gently explain that her love was unrequited.

HOW IT'S GOING NOW: Wouldn't you like to know. Actually, so would be. The show's fifth season has yet to receive an official premiere date.
