Inside Line: Scoop On For All Mankind, The Boys, Animal Kingdom, Ghosts, Stranger Things, HIMYF, FBI And More

Has For All Mankind's Molly been very grounded? Will The Boys get some pocket-sized help? Is Stranger Things' Eddie a keeper... or doomed? What do the Superman & Lois and Flash finales have in store? Read on for answers to those questions plus teases from other shows. (You can and should email any brand-new Qs to InsideLine@tvline.com.)

Can you tease what's ahead for For All Mankind's Molly now that she's been fired? — Katie H.

Sonya Walger's absence from the Season 3 opening credits should tell you everything you need to know about what's ahead for Molly in the wake of her firing in last week's episode (hint: very little). BTW, we suspected the Lost alum was on the verge of losing her series regular status on the Apple TV+ drama after Molly's near-death (lunar) experience in Season 2. We're bummed to have been right.

After meeting the prom girl and Hetty's husband, any idea if Season 2 plans to reveal other new Ghosts? –Claire

Noting that "at some point it starts to strain credulity" to keep introducing other ghosts, series co-creator Joe Wiseman acknowledges, "It's a big property, it's a big house... and we have thought of creative, fun ways to bring ghosts into the property." What's more, "There are ghosts wherever Sam goes, so I think we're going to meet some of the ghosts on neighboring properties" — as happened when Sam and Jay visited frenemies Henry and Margaret — "that might have surprising connections to our ghosts, and we can get stories that way."

I have a case... for Perry Mason. We've seen new casting info, so that's good news. But when will the show return? –Katy

With filming on Season 2 not expected to wrap until next month, the premiere date is still very TBD.

Is Jamie the Supe-Hamster going to be the newest member of The Boys or not? –Jason

I asked showrunner Eric Kripke about possibly seeing hyper li'l Jamie again, and he said, "I would love to get this hamster back. Jamie is actually from the comics and so it was a bit of a cameo, an actually beloved character. And if I can figure out a way to get that hamster from Russia to the United States, I would love to have that character [back]."

Hoping for some inside scoop on Only Murders in the Building! –Jen

Season 2 opens this coming Tuesday with Mabel, Charles and Oliver in considerable hot water, yes, in the wake of Bunny's shocking and bloody murder — but there is also good news looming for each of the podcasters celebs, including the very real prospect of a Brazzos reboot (though Charles wouldn't be playing the title character, but... well, someone else), and a possible Only Murders TV series. #meta

Has The Morning Show Season 3 begun filming? –Sharon

Nope, not quite yet.

Any word yet on when CBS will air the season finale of FBI, which was delayed because of a school shooting? –Doug

No airdate has been set yet, but if you're perhaps expecting it to trickle out over the summer... you'll be disappointed.

With Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2 coming out, and how the show is known for their emotional character deaths, is there any hope that we will be seeing the newbies: Eddie and Argyle, make it out safe and see them back for the final season? –Kristin

I'd be braced for anything, frankly — including a not-quite-celebratory vibe as the season draws to a close. As co-showrunner Matt Duffer told us, Part 2 of Season 4 "is a little bit less hopeful than it is typically going into these finales, because our characters are at an unusual disadvantage in that they're so separated geographically. So it's a very different-feeling climax."

I'd love anything on this last season of Animal Kingdom, please. –Cyrielle

This Sunday's back-to-back episodes (starting at 9/8c on TNT) sure make it look like Pope doesn't have a prayer of surviving the season unscathed. Not only does Tyrant alum Moran Atias make her debut as Louise Thompson, the detective hell-bent on reheating the cold case of Catherine's murder, but a familiar face from Andrew's past resurfaces. Hint: It's not Yellowstone wrangler Jennifer Landon's Amy, either (though the latest promo for the show does reveal that she'll be popping up again this season as Pope's lost love).

What does Ashley Reyes' role on Walker mean for How I Met Your Father? –Deb

Apparently, not much at all. Previewing her involvement in Season 2 of the Hulu comedy, Reyes told me, "I will be back, yes! [Hannah and Sid] just got married, so I'll still be a wedded woman, doing some long-distance relationshipping."

Back in December, you reported that the second half of Resident Alien Season 2 would air this summer. Could you find out when we'll see it? –Maura

I have asked around, but there is nothing to report... yet.

Will Walker Independence's Hoyt Rawlins be similar to or different from the 21st century Hoyt Rawlins seen on Walker? –Alex

Matt Barr answered that very question when I spoke to both him and leading lady Katherine McNamara on The CW's Upfront red carpet. "There's definitely the same DNA, the same heart...," he said. "But [Walker']s Hoyt was more of a talker, and this guy is a man of action. He's a little more dangerous."

Any last tease for the Superman & Lois season finale? –C.C.

Alex Garfin, who plays Jordan, shared this bit: Dylan Walsh as Sam Lane "gives an incredible speech. He's the old pro on set, having been in the business a while, seeing him orate a speech like that was incredible I hope people enjoy that." Bonus fun fact: Arrowverse vet Tom Cavanagh, who directed Superman & Lois Season 1's "Last Sons of Krypton" (in which Jordan was possessed by Zeta), is set to helm the Season 3 premiere. "I'm super excited to play with the fancy technical tools they have over there," he effused to me. "With the anamorphic lenses, my God, you're making a wide-screen movie all the time over there."

What do you hear about Shaun Cassidy's show, Unbroken? It was talked about as a midseason replacement, and then nothing. –Lorraine

Still happening!

Any tiny hint about The Flash finale's "surprise" guest? –Trevor

I'm midway through the finale at press time, and I am going to say that Danielle Nicolet was accurate-ish with her tease, if she was referring to who I think she was. I myself had certainly tempered expectations — after some speculated it'd simply be long-absent Baby Jenna, and especially after Mia Smoak got ruled out — but I legit exclaimed, "Oh, damn" when I saw a certain character pop up in this coming Wednesday's finale. What's more, the seed for this reappearance was very pointedly planted some time ago, and it sets up a great performance by their scene partner.
