orphan-black-season-2-premiereOn TV this weekend: Orphan Black has us seeing way more than double, Devious Maids return to Lifetime, witches come to Salem and Lindsay learns her final lessons. As a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are 15 programs to keep on your radar.

SATURDAY, APRIL 19

8 pm A Day Late and a Dollar Short (Lifetime) | When short-tempered matriarch Viola Price (Whoopi Goldberg) learns that her next asthma attack will likely kill her, she is determined to fix her fractured family before her time is up. (Sounds feel-good to me!)

9 pm Orphan Black (BBC America) | Season 2 premiere: Desperate to find her daughter, Sarah suspects Rachel is behind her disappearance and sparks an all-out war. (Get scoop here and here.)

9 pm Billy Crystal 700 Sundays (HBO) | In this original two-act play, the comedian plays numerous characters who have influenced who he is today.

9 pm Da Vinci’s Demons (Starz) | Leonardo reunites with Riario and Nico in the New World, and Lorenzo attempts to save Florence.

10 pm The Real History of Science Fiction (BBC America) | Series premiere: Narrated by Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss, this four-part series aims to discover why science fiction is more than just a genre. Naturally, the first installment is all about robots of the movies and TV.

In the Fairy Tale Land That Was, young Cora (played by Rose McGowan, Charmed) is duped by a man claiming to be a prince. Happens to the best of us, girl.

8 pm Call the Midwife (PBS) | Jenny’s patient Leah struggles to cope with her mother’s agoraphobia, as well as her own pregnancy.

10 pm Salem (WGN America) | Series premiere: In 17th century Massachusetts, war veteran John Alden (Shane West, Nikita) returns home, only to find the town of Salem is on the hunt for witches… and one of the targets is his love, Mary (Janet Montgomery, Dancing on the Edge), who has since married another man. (Read Shane West’s preview.)

10 pm The Mentalist (CBS) | When a woman is found murdered near a remote men’s social club, Patrick Jane must work his way into the insular group to find the killer. (Watch a sneak peek.)
