What to Watch Thursday: Big Bang Says 'Hi, Bob,' Parks and Rec Finale, Katey Sagal's Glee & More

8 pm The Vampire Diaries (The CW) | Elena thwarts the Salvatore brothers’ attempt to reinstate her humanity, leading them to call for backup from a surprising source. Elsewhere, Caroline has a confusing, dangerous encounter with Klaus.

8 pm The Big Bang Theory (CBS) | Comedy icon Bob Newhart (Newhart) guest-stars as Professor Proton, the host of Sheldon and Leonard’s favorite childhood TV show. They hire him to hang out with them, which is totally not creepy in any way.

8:30 pm The Office (NBC) | In this hour-long episode, Andy tries to muster the courage to quit the paper biz and pursue acting, Dwight gets his black belt from his new sensei (guest star Michael Imperioli, The Sopranos) and Jim returns to Scranton to spend more time with Pam.

8:30 pm Two and a Half Men (CBS) | Walden’s advice for Alan to start dating again works a little too well when he attracts a married woman. Julie Marie Berman (General Hospital) and Amanda Detmer (What About Brian?) guest-star.

9 pm Person of Interest (CBS) | A virus causes the machine to malfunction as the team searches for an elusive tech millionaire. Amy Acker (Angel), Sarah Shahi (Fairly Legal), Carrie Preston (True Blood), Brett Cullen (Falcon Crest) and Jay O. Sanders (Law & Order: CI) reprise their roles as Root, Shaw, Grace, Nathan Ingram and Special Counsel, respectively. (Check out preview photos.)

9 pm Beauty and the Beast (The CW) | Cat learns something that makes her think her mother’s still alive (!); when a sniper takes down the mayor at an event, Vincent finds evidence that links Gabe to the shooting.

9 pm Glee (Fox) | Artie gets news that can affect his future and his mom (guest star Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy), New Directions croons Stevie Wonder tunes and Rachel prepares for her Funny Girl callback.

9:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | Season finale: On Leslie’s first anniversary as a city councilor, April gets huge news and Tom considers a big opportuni-Diddy. (Not yet renewed; get its current status.)

PREVIEW | Scandal Season 2 Video – Fitz and Liv Have a Heated Phoner, a Mole Suspect Emerges

10 pm Elementary (CBS) | Sherlock resumes his hunt for Moriarty when M. (returning guest star Vinnie Jones) reveals that the sleuth’s nemesis may be responsible for some recent murders. (Get scoop.) F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus) plays as a hitman known as The Actuary, and Lawrence Lau (All My Children) also guest-stars.

10 pm Hannibal (NBC) | Raul Esparza (Law & Order: SVU) guest-stars as a former colleague of Jack and Alana’s who thinks he has a serial killer in custody… but then one of his patients commits a murder that matches the killer’s profile. Pretty soon, Jack’s former protégé Miriam (Veep‘s Anna Chlumsky) is the next person in the murderer’s sights. Eddie Izzard (The Riches) also guest-stars.

      Hah. Thurs nite is hands down the best nite of tv. I watch greys vampire diaries beauty and the beast suits when its in season all on thursday. There is tons else on too that is super populate with others too. If u can’t find something on thurs then u probably aren’t a fan of tv.
