Saved By The Bell Revival Gets Season 2 Premiere Date At Peacock
Bayside High will resume in-person learning in November, when Saved by the Bell returns for Season 2.
Peacock has announced that the critically acclaimed revival will be back with 10 new episodes on Wednesday, Nov. 24 — exactly one year after Season 1's Thanksgiving Eve drop.
PHOTOS | Saved by the Bell Cast: Then and Now
In the new Saved by the Bell, California governor Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, then proposes that they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state — including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids — including Zack and Kelly's son Mac (Mitchell Hoog) and Jessie's son Jamie (Belmont Cameli) — a much-needed dose of reality. Elizabeth Berkley Lauren (Jessie Spano) and Mario Lopez (A.C. Slater) are series regulars; Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski) and Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) recur.
Rounding out the cast are Haskiri Velazquez (as Daisy), Alycia Pascaul-Peña (as Aisha), Dexter Darden (as Devante), Josie Totah (as Lexi) and John Michael Higgins (as Principal Toddman).

In the Season 1 finale, Gov. Morris put a three-year freeze on all school openings and closures, affording Douglas High transplants Daisy, Aisha and DeVante the opportunity to continue their studies at Bayside. TVLine readers gave the first season an average grade of "B-."
FRIENDS FOREVER
The very last scene of Season 1 suggested that COVID-19 was fast approaching, but it's still unclear whether the pandemic will be acknowledged in Season 2. Also unknown is how the series will acknowledge the passing of original SBTB cast member Dustin Diamond, who died in February after an aggressive battle with Stage 4 lung cancer.
What we do know is this: The photo above sees most of the OG friend group — Zack, Kelly, Slater, Jessie and Lisa, back in the flesh after a brief Season 1 cameo — seated at their favorite booth. The shot is from the Season 2 premiere, titled "The Last Year Dance."
JESSIE AND SLATER 'GROW CLOSER...'
The Season 1 finale saw Slater reckon with his chauvinistic past. He apologized to Mama — err, Dr. Mama — err, Jessie, for the way he treated her back in high school. Shortly thereafter, Jessie stood up to Rene and kicked her "fake-woke" husband to the curb.
In Season 2, "Slater and and a newly single Jessie grow closer despite their tumultuous romantic past," per the official logline. Press PLAY on the video above to watch Lauren and Lopez discuss their characters' relationship.
WE'VE GOT SCHOOL SPIRIT, YES WE DO!
The new class (no, not that new class) will be gearing up for the Southern California School Spirit Competition. (Apparently there's a limbo challenge involved?)
MAC BECOMES HIS OWN MAN
Mac, meanwhile, sees the competition "as a way to finally step out from his father's shadow."
MO' BAYSIDE NONSENSE, MO' PROBLEMS
"Daisy is determined not to get sidetracked by 'Bayside nonsense,' but when a cute new student is elected student council vice president, she finds herself in way over her head."
A THOUGHTFUL AND COMPASSIONATE LEXI?
"Jamie leans on Lexi in the wake of his parents' divorce while Lexi struggles to be a more understanding girlfriend."
TIME OUT!
"Aisha seeks a new outlet after football is cancelled," and it looks like whatever she's up to, it involves the above-mentioned Lexi.
LOVE TO THE MAX
"DeVante finds love with a rich Bayside girl..." and apparently takes a job at The Max.
HEY HEY HEY HEY, WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?
Whatever happens, it's safe to assume that Principal Toddman will be in wayyyy over his head.
To reiterate, Saved by the Bell Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Nov. 24, with all 10 episodes. Are you looking forward to your pre-Thanksgiving binge?
