THE HOLIDAYS

The show's first episode back is a meta installment "that allows you to see basically every holiday you want Sam and Dean to celebrate," co-showrunner Andrew Dabb told EW.com. "Carving jack-o'-lanterns, carving the turkey, birthdays, it's all there."

THE SERIES FINALE, PART 2

Talking about the series ender at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Jared Padalecki said, "I feel like Sam and Dean find some version of peace. Whether or not that's alive or dead, or if Amara possesses me or whatever the situation is, I feel like they find more peace than when the season starts."

As TVLine previously reported, an upcoming episode will feature young versions of Dean (played by The Haunting of Hill House's Paxton Singleton) and Sam (When Calls the Heart's Christian Michael Cooper) embarking on one of their first hunts together.

THE SERIES FINALE

"Episode 19 feels kind of like the season finale for [Season] 15, and Episode 20 feels like the series finale," Jensen Ackles shared during a Zoom chat. The actor also revealed that "some adjustments" have been made to the final two installments to "accommodate a pandemic."

THE REVIVAL?

The end might not be the end, after all. "It's a long journey that I don't think is ever going to be over," Ackles said at the Television Critics Association press tour in August 2019. "I think we're just going to go away for a while. For how long, I don't know." He then clarified, "I'm not ever ready to close doors or burn bridges. I think that's foolish. Am I saying there's something in the works? No. Am I open to having a conversation in the future? What's the harm in that?"
