Ratings: Dirty Dancing Gives ABC a Little Lift; Arrow, SVU and Empire Rise

Dirty Dancing Ratings Remake

Oh, Baby! ABC’s Dirty Dancing delivered 6.6 million total viewers and a 1.4 demo rating, giving the network its most-watched Wednesday in nearly seven months (since the CMA Awards) and its best hump day rating since April 5.

TVLine readers gave the redo that nobody asked for an average grade of “D-“; be sure to peruse Andy Swift’s “burning questions” here.

Elsewhere on the night….

THE CW | Thursday-bound Arrow (1.72 mil/0.6, average TVLine reader grade of “A”) drew its best audience since Feb. 1 while ticking up a tenth in the demo. The 100 (910K/0.3, reader grade “A-“) added some eyeballs while steady in the demo.

NBC | SVU (6.1 mil/1.3, reader grade “B-“) ticked up with its two-hour finale.

FOX | Shots Fired (3.4 mil/0.9) rose a tenth with its finale, while Empire (6.9 mil/2.5, reader grade “B”) wrapped Season 3 with its best numbers since Dec. 7 and March 22, respectively.

CBS | The Survivor (8.5 mil/1.9) finale and its reunion show (5.8 mil/1.3) matched their previous numbers.
