The Flash Jessica Camacho

TVLine Items: Sleepy Vet Is Flash's Gypsy, 12 Monkeys Adds Two and More

Gypsy is coming to teach Cisco (aka Vibe) some new tricks on The Flash.

Jessica Camacho (Sleepy Hollow) will guest-star during a Season 3 episode of the CW series as the DC Comics character, who was a member of the Justice League and the Birds of Prey in the canon, TVLine has confirmed.

Tenacious and tough-as-nails, Gypsy is an inter-dimensional bounty hunter on a mission to apprehend a wanted fugitive. The metahuman law dog will stop at nothing to hunt down her quarry and bring them to justice.

“Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her,” actor Carlos Valdes (Cisco) teased during a recent episode of The CW’s Fan Feast digital series.

The Wrap first reported the news.

  1. Fan says:

Ignacio Serricchio is a good actor but what is up with changing Don to a smuggler? This and changing Dr Smith to a woman? I had such high hopes for a new version of my favorite show. Not anymore. Oh the pain!!!!!

  2. Steven says:

Niecy Nash and Carrie Preston? I’m in!

  3. Wordsmith says:

I really enjoyed Stan Against Evil – it feels like a charmingly low budget version of Ash vs. Evil Dead, more in line with the feel of the original films in that franchise. I like that it’s horror, but generally resolves happily – I’m not a fan of downer “everybody dies and the world burns” endings.
    Glad there’ll be a season 2!

  4. Jason says:

The birth of rock n roll and i don’t see any black person in the main cast on imdb

  5. Wes says:

Er…I don’t think it’s in the best interests of The Flash or The CW to introduce a character named after a racial slur. Surely there are plenty of other comic book characters Cisco can learn from?

    • Luli says:

Seriously??? People are so sensitive nowadays… Nothing wrong with the name Gypsy.

    • Jon says:

The most recent version of the Gypsy character was created by Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns (2/3 of The Flash Executive Producers) for their 2013 ‘Justice Leauge of America’s Vibe’ run

I’m sure that has nothing to do with them wanting to use the character.

  6. Bahdjdjs says:

The birth of rock and roll? Hmmm, weird how none of the cast so far is black…

  7. Jared says:

I need a Claws trailer ASAP!

  8. DavidSask says:

Congrats to Niecy Nash for getting star role in new show, she always delights!

  9. Joey Padron says:

Looking forward to see Gypsy character on The Flash. Happy Stan Against Evil got renewed.

  10. Brian says:

‘Stan Against Evil’ got a second season! That is awesome news for everyone involved in this never mentioned funny horror comedy. Its like the redheaded stepchild of ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’. If ‘Scream Queens’ had any of the charm or humor of this hidden gem (or ‘Ash’), maybe people would actually watch it. John C. McGinley and Janet Varney were both very good. Congrats to the funny man who created and co-stars Dana Gould.
