K.C. Undercover Renewed Season 3

K.C. Undercover Renewed for Season 3

K.C. Cooper will be staying undercover for a while: Disney Channel has renewed K.C. Undercover for a third season.

Zendaya, who stars as the titular high-school spy, will return for Season 3, the network announced Tuesday. Her character K.C. Cooper’s parents are spies, so she has to balance normal teen stuff (homework, boys) with the demands of being a spy in training for top-secret government outfit The Organization. But she also gets to do a lot of cool karate kicks, so it’s not all bad.

K.C. Undercover has been a ratings winner for Disney Channel, with more than 2 million viewers tuning in for the Season 2 premiere in March. And Zendaya (an alum of Disney’s Shake It Up) is well on her way to becoming a superstar, with a runner-up finish in Season 16 of Dancing With the Stars and a big role in the upcoming superhero film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

“We’re very proud of the success of K.C. Undercover and how popular it is across our different platforms,” Disney Channel executive VP Adam Bonnett said in a statement. “The series will continue to deliver action sequences that push the boundaries of the multi-camera genre with the same great quality storytelling and talented cast led by the incomparable Zendaya and executive producer Rob Lotterstein.”

Season 2 of K.C. Undercover is currently airing Sundays at 8/7c on Disney Channel.

I wish they would renew Girl Meets World

  2. Elizabeth says:

Does KC Undercover have better ratings than GMW?

    • ScottJ says:

Not according to the ratings on Wiki. GMW comes in around 20% higher than KC. There’s some far lower numbers for some episodes and I think Disney’s random scheduling doesn’t exactly help. I would guess GMW is a much more expensive show though.

  3. A. D. says:

    Renew Girl Meets World already!

  4. Becky says:

I really wish we would just hear either away about Girl Meets World. It deserves a better run of non staggered scheduling!

  5. Dondon says:

Like the show very much just not some of the jokes that bring racial inflection…it wouldn’t be tolerated the opposite way

  6. Dave says:

I love KC Undercover! I’m a parent, so I really appreciate any humor that bridges the parent child gap. The whole cast is great… excellent synergy. The show is well written, funny, and I truly enjoy it!
