Once Upon a Time Lydgate

TVLine Items: Wonderland Doc on Once, Sleepy Premiere Reveal and More

The doctor is (back) in.

Jonny Coyne is set to guest-star on ABC’s Once Upon a Time, reprising his role as Once Upon a Time in Wonderland‘s Dr. Lydgate, TVLine has confirmed. The news comes on the heels of David Anders’ announced encore as Dr. Whale/Dr. Frankenstein. Fold in Dr. Jekyll, and you have the trappings for a very unorthodox AMA conference.

Coyne first played Wonderland-bound Alice’s asylum overlord in the Once spinoff’s series premiere. His previous TV credits also include Gotham, Salem, Manhattan and 11.22.63. He will appear in the fourth episode of Once Season 6 (premiering Sunday, Sept. 25, at 8/7c).

Ready for more of today’s newsy nuggets? Well…

Sleepy Hollow executive producer Albert Kim revealed the Fox series’ Season 4 premiere title Monday via Twitter. (The one-word episode name is likely a nod to the District of Columbia, aka the revamped series’ new setting.)

* Wendie Malick (Hot in Cleveland) will guest-star as Sebastian’s mom, Sylvia, on the fourth episode of NCIS: New Orleans‘ upcoming third season, EW.com reports.

Zoo star James Wolk will play a tech billionaire named Craig Heidecker in Season 2 of Showtime’s Billions, per our sister site Variety.

* Netflix has renewed its NFL-hopefuls series Last Chance U for a second season, the streaming video service announced Monday.

Jonny Coyne has been outstanding in everything I have seen him in-yay

  2. Cory says:

Good news. Wonderland was anything in the parent series despite the somewhat lame CGI.

  3. steven says:

Can we have the Red Queen on the show too and reunite her with Will?

    • Eli says:

I think this is a strong possibility for a couple reasons put together.

      1. Jessy Schram is returning as Cinderella.
      2. Cinderella has a connection to someone in the land of untold stories
      3. When Will came to the grown up once upon a time something had happened to Anastasia
      4. It was highly hinted (though not confirmed) that Anastasia was one of Cinderella’s step sisters.
