The men and women of ABC’s Quantico are regularly thrown into high stress situations, so can you blame a guy for wanting to align his chakras every once in a while?
In these exclusive new photos from the drama’s upcoming second season, cast newbie/telenovela star Aarón Díaz‘s character attends a yoga class, where someone catches his eye. Might it be Alex, who’s using the ancient practice to help her deal with the pressure of her new gig at the CIA? Or perhaps Shelby, who’s decided that tall, dark and handsome beats blonde, snarky and overprotective? Or is it some other
dirty downward dog altogether?
As we reported earlier this week, Díaz will join the series this fall in the heavily recurring role of “thrill-seeking photojournalist” León Velez. He’ll first show up in the premiere and stick around for multiple episodes.
“Season 1 was this you’re-on-the-run, fugitive thing, which is how it began, which is meant to be heart-pounding and fast, something that happened very quickly,” series creator Joshua Safran told TVLine after the Season 1 finale. “We took our energy from that. Season 2 is structured a little bit slower. I’m not going to say what it is, but the nature of the event is slower and unfolding as opposed to explosive. We’re just going to take our energy from that.
Other Season 2 cast additions include Blair Underwood (L.A. Law), Russell Tovey (Looking), Tracy Ifeachor (The Originals) and David Lim (Supergirl, 90210).
