Opening ABC’s night, The Muppets (3.9 mil/1.2) and Fresh Off the Boat (3.7 mil/1.3) slipped two and three tenths, respectively, while Agents of SHIELD (3.5 mil/1.3) dipped one tenth, with all three tying series lows in the demo.

Elsewhere in the ratings….

THE CW | The Flash (3.6 mil/1.5, average reader grade of “A”) matched last week’s season-high rating, while iZombie (1.4 mil/0.6) was steady.

FOX | Grandfathered (3.1 mil/1.0) and The Grinder (2.6 mil/0.8) were steady, but Scream Queens (2.5 mil/0.9) dipped a tenth.

  1. Airsay says:

So glad to see The Flash’s great ratings.

  2. Mr. Tran K says:

RIP Wicked City. Hope it gets canceled soon and I’m wondering if Castle or any another drama series should fill the void in the 10 pm Tuesday night time slot for ABC.

  3. Boiler says:

Not sure I get why Grandfathered does better than Grinder. They both have pretty good casts and fairly entertaining. Every time I see a bomb on ABC at 10/9 central for Tuesday I remember Dana Delany saying ABC would regret cancelling Body of Proof. So far, even after 2 or 3 years, she is right. To have a network prime time show dip below the CW is horrible

    • .... says:

They’re probably regretting cancelling Forever, too.

    • DreamRose311 says:

My guess is that the first episode of Grinder was kind of disappointing while the first episode of Grandfathered was a bit of a pleasant surprise. Sticking with them both they’ve kind of evened out to me liking them equally, but maybe many didn’t stick with Grinder past the first ep.

      • SayNay says:

This. I watched both premieres, but stuck with Grandfathered. It’s not an amazing show, but of the two it was surprisingly more charming.

      • MyFairLady says:

You are right…I stuck with grandfathered and dropped Grinder after the pilots

      • MiaB says:

I watched both pilots and felt that way as well, but I did try The Grinder again and quit mid-episode. Grandfathered is a fun show.

        • Patrick says:

Yeah. The law firm stuff is AWFUL. I know that it supposed to be unrealistic, but it is so bad. The family stuff is great. The kids are very charming, and there is great chemistry there between the family members. But the show grinds to a halt whenever the law firm takes front and center.

  4. BrittBrat says:

Yikes! ABC had a rough night. I’m not surprised Wicked City is doing poorly. I couldn’t make it through half of the first episode before turning it off.

  5. HeatherC says:

    Go Chicago Fire!!! =)

    • Mr. Tran K says:

Guess you’re very happy about the news that Chicago Fire got renewed for another season.

      • HeatherC says:

Haha, yes, I’m thrilled about that news! Its nice that I don’t have to worry about CF or CPD when we all get antsy about renewals in the spring. Thanks for the comment! =)

  6. Ray says:

Noooo Muppets. Your ratings are breaking my heart.

  7. Sue says:

I LOVE Wicked City. Love the fact it takes place in the 80’s brings back my bar days. I am shocked its doing so poorly. Its not conservative or safe but edgy.

  8. Aleana says:

I like Wicked City but it seem more of a show for FX or HBO

    • BrightLight says:

I keep thinking the same thing. It definitely doesn’t seem like a broadcast network show but would feel right at home on cable.

    • Joe says:

I’m liking it too,I’m wondering if I should give up on it because it’s most likely going to get pulled ,

      • Sue says:

I know I love Wicked City and I think Blood and Oil is just okay. But it is looking like both are to be cancelled soon so I am thinking why keep watching? I think the premise of Wicked City is so fresh and wild. Keeps me entertained that is for sure!

      • Carla Krae says:

I don’t think it will, since it’s meant to be an anthology show anyway. One story per season.

    • Ashbash says:

I feel like Wicked City works for broadcast networks just not ABC. I feel like it should be on Fox or CBS if it wanted to succeed as a broadcast show. And then the scheduling of it is just horrendous. Who schedules a serial killer show to come on after an hour of family friendly comedy and a marvel universe TV show. ABC just was not the network for this show every time I watch it I’m like oh this would definitely be a good show on Fox after Bones or man this show would be great after Criminal Minds on CBS.

  9. herman1959 says:

I just happened to catch Limitless for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. This surprised me based on some of the negative posts about the show here. I’d watch it again.

    • Tess says:

The negativity probably relates to POI’s imminent demise so take those comments with a grain of salt.

      • wrstlgirl says:

Not a POI fan so my comment is not related to that at all. I just find Limitless boring :-) Every time I try to watch it I find that I just really don’t care, lol.

  10. sarah t says:

I wish ABC would realize that they don’t have to do hyper sexualized shows (though that seems to be the majority of what they offer anymore in the way of dramas). Even the Muppets really isn’t family friendly. Glad Wicked City is soon to be a goner. The premise looked horrible. Definitely more inline with what you would see on FX.

  11. wrstlgirl says:

I knew going in that Wicked City was gonna bomb but I’m watching it anyway. It’s really quite good. Shield was putting me to sleep last night but The Flash is on a roll this season. Loving it!!

  12. Melanie Desi says:

I’m so happy to see the Flash doing so well. The cast is great, the special effects are wonderful – story line & character development is really good. Barry’s hero’s journey is one of the best on TV. I’m so glad Dr. Well’s is back!
I’m not surprised about Wicked City – we haven’t watched it — we were turned off by the premise in the promos – another show where they’re trying to make us root for (or just watch the machinations of) awful people. The Sopranos and Sons of Anarchy aside, not interested in irredeemable anti-heroes.

  13. Jared says:

The fans of Forever are in full force today! I still don’t understand why ABC cancelled a series that was doing pretty well in a timeslot that had been troubled for years. I’m expecting a Wicked City cancellation by the end of the day. On a positive note, The Flash has been amazing this season. The CW sure knows how to do a superhero show.

  14. tvjunkie says:

Between Wicked City and Blood and Oil the dudes from Gossip Girl are having a bad run this season in the ratings.

  15. SnazzyO says:

IZombie has been EXCELLENT this year. The season-long plot moves at a lightning pace, which is unexpected. The iZombie Murder of the week (iMOTW) is always interesting. And this week did a great job of tying the iMOTW to the main plot. Well done Team iZombie.

  16. Andrew says:

I’ve never seen Wicked City, but previews/promos made it look like it was a show set on glamourizing murder and serial killers.

That really turned me off, and I’m not surprised it’s bombing.

  17. Whatevah says:

I really like the Grinder. Rob Lowe is so funny. I really like Wicked City although I can see why some people wouldn’t like it. I guess I have to be prepared for it to be cancelled.

  18. BarryFlash says:

The Flash on CW beat Shield on ABC. Wow!

  19. Eric7740 says:

At this point, ABC you go beg and plead with Shonda to revive Private Practice or a PP spinoff!!! Practice pulled in decent viewership as well, don’t forget!

  20. HAP says:

I am not surprised about Wicked City. It’s a terribly dark and depressing show that borders on being pornography. It has reason to be on broadcast network TV.

  21. kmw says:

Good for Chicago Fire and really good for The Flash, beating out some of the big network shows. ABC had a bad night but nothing else a surprise

  22. Kathy roros says:

I really like wicked city! I find it entertaining and wanting to see how everything is going to end. I hope they don’t pull this show because of ratings!

  23. ljd213 says:

So ABC, sorry you cancelled “Forever”? Short sighted idiots!

  24. flower1petals says:

The drop in numbers from CBS shows to the others is crazy! It’s why CBS never ends their shows and keeps making spin-offs. They just keep making money.

  25. sq says:

i wonder why fox renew grandfathered and grinder, rosewood but have yet to renew scream queens

  26. pati says:

That’s pretty horrible numbers for all of ABC’s shows and screen queens oh my. I deleted it from my DVR it was funny in the first episode but it is just so ridiculous and stupid I can’t watch it anymore. I feel bad for Lea Michelle. She deserves better
