Ratings: Briefcase Is Lighter in Week 2

The Briefcase Ratings

In the wake of assorted brouhahas and going up against Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, Week 2 of CBS’ The Briefcase on Wednesday drew 5.4 million total viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, dropping 22 and 36 percent from its premiere.

NBC’s aforementioned hockey coverage (Lightning vs. Blackhawks) did 5.5 mil and a 1.8, up in viewers but down a tenth in the demo versus last year’s Game 1 (Rangers vs. Kings).

Over on Fox, MasterChef (4.6 mil/1.4) slipped two tenths, while Bullseye (3.3 mil/1.1) matched its premiere.

ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap (3.5 mil/1.0) dipped a tenth.

    I’m rooting for the Blackhawks to win the Stanley Cup. In my opinion, they’re the toughest if not one of the toughest teams in the NHL because of stars like Toews, Kane and so many others.

    Message to Slowride: What part of “complaining” do you not understand? Do you even know what complaining means? I’ll try to be on my best behavior if someone uses a “mean reply” towards me because I really hated it when he or she does something really mean and it gets me angry like The Hulk.

    Don’t blame hockey. It’s simply that many folks checked out the first episode of The Briefcase and realized it was plain awful.
