Dark and stormy, with a chance of lookalikes.
That seems to be the forecast for Season 2 of BBC America’s thrilling, brain-bending Orphan Black — at least based on the official cast photo below.
Golden Globe nominee Tatiana Maslany is front and center as our protagonist clone Sarah, who’s using a “scorched earth” policy to find her missing daughter Kira as the season begins. There’s also buttoned-up (and mentally crumbling) Alison on the right, in pearls (naturally); brilliant (and physically crumbling) Cosima in dreadlocks, seated to the left; and blonde pro-clone Rachel, standing at the left, whose powerful Dyad company wants to bring all the clones together under one ominous umbrella.
The rest of the show’s familiar faces are all present and accounted for (except for crazy/beautiful Helena — sniffle), as well as two newcomers lurking in the shadows: Nashville‘s Michiel Huisman as Cal, a rugged and resourceful outdoorsman, and Nikita‘s Peter Outerbridge as Johanssen, “a mercurial modern-day cowboy and leader of a new breed of religious extremists.” The former is barely visible to the immediate left of Sarah, while the latter is decked out in a black Stetson and bolo tie.
Orphan Black returns Saturday, April 19 at 9/8c on BBC America.
