Sharknado 2: The Second One will premiere Thursday, July 31 at 9/8c, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Blogger Perez Hilton, rapper Biz Markie, Salt-N-Pepa’s Pepa and TVLine’s Michael Ausiello will make cameos in the sequel, whose cast includes returning players Ian Ziering and Tara Reid and newbies Vivica A. Fox and Mark McGrath.

True Blood has promoted Tara Buck, who plays barmaid Ginger, to series regular for the seventh and final season, our sister site Deadline reports.

• NBC has released the action-packed opening sequence of its new sci-fi drama Believe, directed by Oscar winner Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity). The show, about a young girl (played by Johnny Sequoyah) with special abilities and the people who protect and hunt her, premieres Monday, March 10, at 10 pm.
