What, you thought Ian Ziering and Tara Reid were going to fight the second Sharknado all by themselves? That’d be insane.

Vivica A. Fox (I’m gonna go with 1-800-MISSING…?), Judd Hirsch (Taxi, Numb3rs), Judah Friedlander (30 Rock) and Andy Dick (NewsRadio) are among the fresh chum on hand for Sharknado 2: The Second One, Syfy’s follow-up to last summer’s social media firestorm/ratings did-good-enough-er.
Per our sister site Deadline, Fox will play an old (West Bev?) high school friend of Ziering’s Fin, Hirsch will tread familiar waters as a NYC cabbie and Dick will play a cop. Friedlander’s character’s name is Brian (and quite possibly wears a novelty hat, though this has yet to be confirmed).
Additionally, performer type Mark McGrath will play Fin’s brother-in-law, while Kelly Osbourne (too, too many E! things) will appear as a flight attendant.
Production starts next week with an eye on a July unleashing.
