  1. DL says:

Next week is Revenge’s midseason finale? But didn’t it just have its fall finale? I don’t get network TV scheduling.

  2. greysfan says:

Dammit ABC and their scheduling of Revenge. I thought that they were NOT going to let the show air against any award show. What happened? I know we will get a season 4 because its syndication and all and ABC would be stupid to cancel it but they really know how to hurt a show while its down, ratings wise (despite the episodes being really strong these past few months).

    • Jerry says:

The only comfort for Revenge is its third season close to syndication, plus the failing state of so many of their dramas, and the “look away” bad ratings of new shows like Killer Women and The Assets, showing that even the “poor” ratings for Revenge is not a given for any possible alternative.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind if Revenge ended after 4 seasons, considering it seems to be approaching an end. But I would mind if it got cancelled with a cliffhanger ending with no proper resolution by the writers.

At least there won’t be the one episode on, one episode off thing this season, and the absolute killer of Grammys., which arguably “killed” Desperate Housewives. Golden Globes will dent it, but not in the way Grammys will.

I am not a US watcher, but I think the episode of Revenge will be a game-changer, hopefully the episode ratings will not suffer much. But damn, that Golden Globe, The Good Wife, Downton Abbey, and True Detective, that competition is so stiff!

  3. Jenna says:

Wow. 9pm is an embarrassment of riches. TGW, Downton Abby, Shameless, and True Detective. I’ll watch them all…eventually. Whoever would have predicted that watching TV would require so much thought? It use to be so easy. lol

  4. erin says:

Globes, Shameless, House of Lies, Episodes, all of Animation Domination (do they still call it that?), and hate-watching Girls. It’s a big night for me.

  5. Tran 2.0 says:

Golden Globes (can’t get enough Tina & Amy).

  6. rebecca says:

  10. iMember says:

REVENGE. easy. Rooting for Tatiana Maslany to get a win tonight though.

  11. Matt says:

    Golden Globes (DVR)

  12. Tom says:

Our PBS station is opting not to air Sherlock until mid February. It’s all a rating ploy and really sucks!! And they wonder why people would stream it. WNED sucks! But watching the beginning of the Golden Globes and then Downton Abbey., then fast forward watching the remainder of the Globes.

  13. Jared says:

    True Detective
    The Good Wife

  14. shump says:

As the guy in the AM/PM commercial says, “Too much good stuff.” Good thing we have DVRs and On-Demand these days.

  17. Stormy says:

PBS all evening starting with Father Brown Mysteries.

  18. Oprah102 says:

    The Good Wife

  19. SK says:

    Golden Globes

  20. bobbie says:

I don’t want to watch the Golden Globes because I will probably not agree with the winners. Here’s who should win: Al Pacino, Helen Mirren, Kevin Spacey, Tina Fey, Jon Voigt. There you go! So it’s the Good Wife for me! and a bit of the soap opera called Revenge. Episodes! yay it’s back.

  21. sladewilson says:

Football, maybe some GG, The Good Wife, True Detective, Shameless, House of Lies, The Mentalist

  22. I have Unlocking Sherlock at 11pm. Downton repeats at 10pm.
