killing-kennedyOn TV this Sunday: National Geographic targets the JFK assassination, an Ugly Betty alum visits Revenge, Shake It Up takes a final bow and Bob’s Burgers add a taste of Community. 8 pm Killing Kennedy (NatGeo) | Based on the best-selling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, this TV-movie follows President John F. Kennedy (Parks and Recreation’s Rob Lowe) and his ultimate assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald (Will Rothhaar, Last Resort), in the events leading up to Nov. 22, 1963. Once Upon a Time’s Ginnifer Goodwin costars as First Lady Jackie Kennedy.

8:30 pm Bob’s Burgers (Fox) | Bob scores a gig as a cook at an “underdog” frat house and fits right in…. until he takes part in a prank involving Dr. Yap (voiced by Community’s Ken Jeong).

9 pm Shake It Up (Disney Channel) | Series finale: When a fashion mishap leaves CeCe with amnesia, Rocky tries everything she can to jog her friend’s memory. (That’s very Full House of them, eh?)

9 pm Revenge (ABC) | Conrad hires party girl-turned-PR whiz Bizzy Preston (Ugly Betty’s Ana Ortiz) to restore the Grayson family name. (Watch a first look.)

9 pm Boardwalk Empire (HBO) | Nucky enlists Eli and Agent Knox to check out extra cargo in Florida shipments; Margaret considers a deal with Rothstein.

9 pm The Walking Dead (AMC) | Assorted enemies pressure Rick and the group. (“Assorted enemies”? That’s so vague, it almost makes me long for an ambiguous Breaking Bad synopsis.)

9 pm Homeland (Showtime) | Carrie and Quinn scramble as Saul makes the gamble of his career.

9:30 pm The Good Wife (CBS) | As Alicia and Cary suspect Lockhart/Gardner is spying on them (ya think?), Nathan Lane’s Clarke Hayden returns to offer financial advice to Florrick/Agos.

10 pm Total Divas (E!) | Fall premiere: Nikki is threatened by Eva Marie’s popularity while Ariane struggles to control her anger issues. (Fortunately, a career in wrestling seems like the perfect outlet.)

10 pm Witches of East End (Lifetime) | Freya makes a startling discovery at Fair Haven.

10:30 pm The Mentalist (CBS) | Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: Jane gathers the remaining Red John suspects in one place in hopes of finally revealing the killer. (But the real mystery is whether football will preempt this episode, again. Keep your eye on @CBSTweet!)

Oh, come now, we all know Mad Men is the king of the ambiguous synopsis.
    .
I’m glad Margaret is back on Boardwalk Empire. We’ve seen way too little of her. I really haven’t been crazy about Agent Knox’s character on the show. He’s no Gyp Rossetti, that’s for sure. I’ve been loving the Al Capone/Van Alden dynamic this season. Those two deserve a spin-off. And I’ve loved seeing so much of Chalky and Richard Harrow.
    .
“Assorted enemies”? Sounds like The Governor is back. I’m going to go start The Walking Dead right now!

  24. keith says:

Eastbound and down. 2 shows left!
