the good wife jason omaraJason O’Mara has landed the lead role in Burn Notice boss Matt Nix’s new USA Network drama pilot, Complications.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Vegas alum will star in the project as a disillusioned ER doctor whose life is forever altered after he saves a boy’s life and kills a man involved in a gang shooting.

O’Mara — whose other TV credits include Terra Nova and Life on Mars — will next recur on The Good Wife.

How I Met You Mother is staging another event episode, this time with a poetic twist. “We just shot an episode where the entire thing is in rhyme,” Cobie Smulders tell E! Online. “It’s like every second line is a rhyme. It varies; you gotta watch it!”

ABC is developing a crime drama from bestselling novelist Patricia Cornwell, Deadline reports. Titled Greta Stone, the project centers on an orphaned female cop who is has an uncanny ability to solve crime. Cornwell will pen Greta with Law & Order alumna Stephanie Sengupta.

    • Good Guys was fantastic. Brad Whitford is on Trophy Wife now though. Of course, attaching Jason O’Mara to the project probably means it wn’t last even as lon as Good Guys did!
