8 pm Dateline NBC (NBC) | A young sister and brother are torn apart when their mother disappears. (Just in time to start your weekend on a happy note.).

8 pm Crossing the Ice (NatGeo) | This special follows a pair of Australian explorers who walked from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole and back without assistance.

8 pm Nikita (The CW) | Repeat to Revisit: Nikita’s heartbreaking secret farewell to Michael as she pretends to get ready to run away with him, but knows it will never happen? I can’t.

10 pm Real Time With Bill Maher (HBO) | Maher is joined by former U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy, documentarian Josh Fox, Bloomberg View columnist MaronJonathan Alter, Republican strategist Kellyanne Conway and historian Niall Ferguson.

10 pm Maron (IFC) | Nora Zehetner (Grey’s Anatomy, Everwood) kicks off a guest arc as a fan who sends Marc an explicit photo and offers a weekend of no-strings-attached sex.

  • Anybody know how to stop those damn annoying banner ads from popping up at the bottom screen. Using IPhone so not sure can put in malware?

    • I wish I knew. Obviously Tvline needs to advertise to make money, but that persistant pop-up banner is really intrusive and makes for an unpleasant mobile browsing experience. Banner ads on the top and bottom of the page? Fine. Layer ads? Fine. But that pop-up banner perpetually obscuring the bottom of your screen and needing to be closed every time you load a new article is supremely irritating.

      I hope someone on staff is paying attention.
