What to Watch Thursday: Glee Is Born to Hand Jive, Burn Notice Is Back, Last Resort and More

On TV this Thursday: The Burn Notice team is back (and still stuck in Panama), Breaking Bad‘s Jonathan Banks seeks out a little Recreation, The Big Bang Theory engages two sci-fi faves and Last Resort gets trippy. As a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar tonight.

8 pm The Vampire Diaries (The CW) | Stefan and Klaus form an uneasy alliance to try to contain Connor, but it’s not enough to stop the vampire hunter from taking hostages. And of course, Elena gets caught between the brothers when Stefan and Damon don’t agree on how to proceed.

8 pm Last Resort (ABC) | The crew is drugged, leaving Marcus and Sam unable to trust their senses as they try to save the sub and defend the island.

8 pm The Big Bang Theory (CBS) | Prep the holodeck, because Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Wil Wheaton is back! Sheldon gets caught in the middle of a fight between Amy and the former Ensign Crusher, who’s brought LeVar “Geordi” Burton as backup.

PREVIEW | Person of Interest Hot Shots: Reese and Zoe Play House in the Suburbs

9 pm Burn Notice (USA Network) | Fall premiere: The spy drama resumes Season 6 with a double-header in which Michael has to escape from a sadistic drug runner before he and the team can flee Panama. (Get scoop on what’s ahead from star Jeffrey Donovan, and read about the Season 7 renewal.)

9 pm Beauty and the Beast (The CW) | Cat has to postpone birthday plans with Vincent to attend a surprise party thrown by her sis, where the lovely lady cop shares a surprising moment with someone unexpected. (Which Legend of the Seeker star is joining the series?)

9 pm Glee (Fox) | Grease is the word – and the school musical — but who’ll fill out the Rydell gang? Meanwhile, a few New Directions alumni return to help cast, choreograph and direct the show, and Mr. Schue struggles with a tough decision. (Check out some sneak peek photos and videos!)

9 pm Project Runway All Stars (Lifetime) | Graffiti artists help the designers tag their fabric with spray paint, to create wearable art from it. And somewhere, Banksy wipes a proud tear from his eye.

9 pm The Office (NBC) | Dwight’s local radio interview becomes an occasion for Jim and the rest of the Dunder Mifflin-ites to torture him with bizarre call-ins.

9:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | A highly prepped – and therefore, incredibly nervous — Leslie meets Ben’s divorced parents (Breaking Bad‘s Jonathan Banks and ER‘s Glenne Headly) for the first time; Tom gets ready to pitch his new business to Ron.

PREVIEW | Scandal Video: Tensions Within the ‘Quinntet’ – and [Spoiler] Scores a Date!

10 pm Elementary (CBS) | Holmes has a hunch that a plane-crash victim died before the craft went down, and Watson has a hunch that Sherlock should meet with his dad. Cheers‘ Roger Rees, 24‘s Reiko Aylesworth and One Life to Live‘s Brian Kerwin guest-star.

  • Urm Hello? How could you not add Grey’s? Going to be the most epic and sad ep since season 8 finale! Good Lord. Kimberly Roots clearly not a Grey’s fan.

  • Anyone know if Kelly Overton is still going to be in this episode of Beauty and the Beast? And have they cast the role of David, the police psychologist yet for the 10th episode? SpoilerTV said that the role would be recurring. Maybe Tom Welling could ease back into acting again with a part like this. At least he would get to play a normal adult human being close to his actual age.
