  • Who’s Ted Gaynor?

Comment by Michael Sacal – November 7, 2012 12:36 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Ted Gaynor is a fighter pilot and heroic mercenary called Blackhawk (one of many Blackhawks, usually working together as a squadron, but occasionally on their own or teaming up with other DC heroes/characters)

    • Lt. Theodore Gaynor was a former US Marine, seconded into the spec ops Blackhawk Squadron (after a recommendation from Winston Churchill, for whom he had been an intelligence officer), but let go shortly after, due to his excessive brutality, and went off on a revenge spree after all things Blackhawk-related, and was killed by Blackhawk himself during the Siege of Sebastopol (WW2). Due to his training and his usual comics history with a current Arrow makeover, the character could be expected to be an ace pilot with megaskillz in hand-to-hand combat, will probably have a history with Diggles, and won’t be around for very long.

        • When I goggled it all the hits I got were for articles about the casting. Took some effort to find anything about the actual comic character. Considering I am a bit of a Blackhawk fan and didn’t recognise the name I’d say it has to be fairly obscure.

          • indeed. the only results I got were the same one line summary from Wikipedia.

  • Looking forward to checking out “The Americans” — it’ll be great having Keri back on TV. Hopefully this one will last longer than the last show she was on.

  • I liked The Americans better when it was called Homeland. They’re ripping off my favorite drama. I’m not happy about it. Plus I think Graham Yost needs to concentrate on Justified. I don’t want him to burn himself out and have a bad season with that show, as it’s my second favorite drama.

Comment by Britta Unfiltered – November 7, 2012 02:45 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Yost is only an executive producer on The Americans. Joe Weisberg (apparently a protege of Yost’s) is the guy in charge. So it shouldn’t impact Justified.

  • Five 2? It will never compete with the awesomeness of the fact that the first one had Ginny Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison and Josh Dallas in it months before Once Upon a Time ever happened. And Ginny and Jen were playing related in that one too!

  • I ran into Rhys and Russell in Cannes actually – really lovely people. Matthew Rhys is hilarious and it’s good to have him back on my screen…albeit, my love for Kevin Walker will never quite recover from the blow.
