What to Watch Wednesday: Dallas Danger, Sherri Shepherd’s Got Soul Man, Volleyball and More

On TV this Wednesday: The Ewings take another hit on Dallas, The Soul Man takes some time to enjoy the view, Supernatural brings in a Ringer and Olympic beach volleyball vixens Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings continue to pretend it’s warm in London. Here are 10 programs to watch tonight.

8 pm 2012 Summer Olympics (NBC) | Tonight’s events include men’s and women’s swimming, men’s gymnastics, men’s synchronized diving and beach volleyball.

8 pm Supernatural (The CW) | Olympics not your thing? We’ve got you covered with this Repeat to Revisit, in which Veronica Mars/Ringer alum Jason Dohring plays the God of Time and sends Dean back to 1944.

8:30 Suburgatory (ABC) | Supernatural not your thing, either? We’ve got you covered with another Repeat to Revisit – in this one, Lisa becomes infatuated with a new male classmate she thinks is gay but who’s really an undercover narcotics cop.

9 pm Royal Pains (USA Network) | Hank and Divya treat a veterinarian going through a bitter divorce, and Evan and Paige help a close friend deal with an unexpected loss in this Mark Feuerstein-directed episode – which also features his real-life dad, Harvey.

10 pm Top Chef Masters (Bravo) | The cheftestants become wedding caterers when a challenge involves feeding the crowd at a foodie couple’s nuptials.

10 pm The Soul Man (TV Land) | The View co-host Sherri Shepherd guest-stars as the Ballentine family’s visiting cousin Nikki, who causes quite a ruckus at the church ladies’ afternoon tea.

    • Spinoffs do that all the time! Actors who originally played different roles on the original shows will frequently show up as different characters on the spinoffs.
