What to Watch: The TVLine-Up for Thursday
On TV this Thursday: ABC’s Duets puts a new spin on singing competitions, Rookie Blue is back on duty, Awake goes into a final slumber, familiar faces are Men at Work and more. Here are seven programs you might want to check out.
8 pm Duets (ABC) | On this new series, instead of observing from behind a table or spinning chairs, the judges — including Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles — get on stage to sing with their hand-picked contestants. The winner will receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records.
8 pm So You Think You Can Dance (Fox) | The Season 9 auditions kick off in Dallas and New York.
9 pm On the Fly (TLC) | Series premiere: If you miss Pan Am, this new reality show offers a behind-the-scenes look of Southwest Airlines. (We’re guessing they won’t highlight Kevin Smith’s “Too fat to fly” incident?)
10 pm Rookie Blue (ABC) | Season 3 premiere: As Andy returns from suspension awaiting reinstatement to active duty, she finds herself unable to assist with an important case (featuring guest star William Shatner) and battling her potential replacement (Camelot‘s Peter Mooney).
10 pm Awake (NBC) | Series finale: With each police force on a man hunt for Detective Britten, Bird and Vega decide to help their struggling partner. Ultimately Britten’s worlds collide, bringing together his psychiatrists in an unlikely debate that forces him to choose his path. (View a first look photo!)
10 pm Punk’d (MTV) | Glee‘s Heather Morris frames Joe Jonas for a burglary, robs pop singer Cody Simpson and tries to make Emma Roberts flood a fro-yo store. Wait, what?
10 pm Men at Work (TBS) | Series premiere: That ’70s Show‘s Danny Masterson, Las Vegas‘ James Lesure, The O.C.‘s Michael Cassidy and Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Adam Busch work at a magazine.
