Did Revenge Death Top Grey's? Did Glee Hit Its Highest Note? TV's Prettiest Bride? And More Qs!

Popular TV Shows 2012 Mad MenWe’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, here are some queries we’re going to lob at you, from shows including Once Upon a Time, Glee, Revenge and Grey’s Anatomy!

1 | Considering she embodied this ginormous power supply, it was a bit too easy to take out Fringe‘s Olivia, wasn’t it? Seriously, we’ve had more difficulty unplugging our laptop from the wall.

2 | Who else was traumatized by the sight of Rory Gilmore’s boobs — didn’t they look digitally altered, as if something had been erased? — on Mad Men?

3 | Given the events of the Once Upon a Time finale — and seeing as how her ABC pilot didn’t make the cut — can we assume that Emilie de Ravin will be full-on recurring in Season 2 as Belle? Also: Was anyone half-expecting Jennifer Morrison’s Emma to diagnose the mysteriously ailing Henry with sarcoidosis and/or lupus?

4 | Why did Desperate Housewives Lynette, Bree and Gaby all get flash-forward glimpses of their futures, but Susan didn’t? Did she get into some horrific accident as she drove off Wisteria Lane?

5 | Girls‘ Marnie has never been to her boyfriend’s apartment and she couldn’t believe he watched porn? Talk about unrealistic.

6 | Yowza, could Rose Leslie’s Game of Thrones bawdy Wilding woman be any bigger a departure from her sweet, industrious Downton Abbey maid?

7 | Isn’t it a shame that ABC cancelled GCB, seeing how it would’ve provided a great opportunity for the network to hire Dancing With the Stars sensation William Levy — and in turn find excuses to get his shirt off?

8 | In the battle of the TV brides, who looked better: How I Met Your Mother‘s Robin, Hart of Dixie‘s Lemon, Mike‘s Molly or Criminal Minds‘ JJ? Speaking of Dixie, can Wade be soaking wet in a tank top, or in a suit, in every episode?

9 | Is there some loophole that How I Met Your Mother can use to make Victoria the mum?

10 | Who was more infuriating on the Gossip Girl season finale? We’re tied between Serena and Lily.

11 | Any other House fans mad that the “Wilson’s survivor patients” scene got ‘em all misty-eyed… only to be a ruse?

12 | Couldn’t Smash‘s Karen have worn the fitted costumes she had on in all of this season’s fantasy numbers? Oh, wait. And who else was disappointed that Eileen missed an opportunity to toss a drink into Jerry’s face? Isn’t that supposed to be their “thing”?

13 | Was Lea Michele’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” the best vocal performance in Glee history, or would it merely rank in the Top 5? Also, did Dot Marie Jones pretty much seal up the Guest Actress Emmy with her sensational work as Coach Beiste in “Props”?

14 | Does Cougar Town‘s Thanksmissween rival The O.C.‘s Chrismukkah?

15 | For the love of all that’s holy, isn’t it time American Idol gave Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” a permanent vacation from the show’s set list?

16 | Were any of this week’s TV deaths more gut-wrenching than that of Revenge‘s sweet pup Sammy? (Yes, even more so than your heartbreaker, Grey’s!) And did Nick Wechsler destroy in that scene or what?

17 | What is with Modern Family giving everyone random nervous ticks? First Claire’s “bad news smile,” and now Phil’s blinking?

18 | Were the noises worse than the images on this week’s Grey’s Anatomy finale? But as powerful (and tragic) as the big death was, didn’t the fact that it came so early in the hour deflate a bit of the effect? Or was the point to have us wondering if a second shoe (meaning doctor) would drop? And is it merely a coincidence that the show pink-slipped two actors on the heels of the original cast inking new (and presumably lucrative) multi-year contracts?

19 | Why didn’t Scandal‘s Olivia wear a wire when confronting Billy Chambers about killing Quinn’s reporter beau? The guy sang like a flippin’ canary! Plus, how did she not get one drop of blood on her perfectly white coat throughout that clean-up ordeal? And seriously, who could “Quinn Perkins” be that it’s so fantastically hush-hush?

20 | Do you think other sitcom creators cry when they witness something like Community‘s 8-bit videogame episode? (And how many Nintendo units do you think were fetched from the cellar and dusted off after that outing?) Also, everyone teared up when Troy was moving out the apartment and saying his goodbyes, right? But on a more serious note: At what point does the show’s portrayal of Abed as rather disturbed become sad versus “zany”?

21 | Is Criss really the guy Liz Lemon is going to find her happily ever after with on 30 Rock? We’re all for it (love James Marsden!), but there’s still another season to contend with, so excuse us for being a bit skeptical.

  1. I have to say HIMYM and Modern Family lost my attention a while ago. I still watch but they really lost their edge.

The music on Glee as of late has been nothing short of amazing. Lea’s rendition of It’s All Coming Back to me is certainly in my top 5.

    • Alan says:

modern family has been on top form lately, the disneyland episode was fantastic. i do agree about himym, im really starting to get sick of all this stalling and the “jokes” are just awful these days

      • Luke says:

Are you CRAZY!!!! NOTHING was sadder than Lexie’s death whoever asked that question is an idiot. Don’t get me wrong sammy’s death was sad but I’ve never cried watching a tv show and I cried during Lexie’s death. She was THE best character on grey’s anatomy and seeing her die was heartbreaking.

        • whatevs says:

Dogs dying infinitely beat humans dying.

          • JTANK says:

Amen to that! I cry like a baby every time an animal dies!

          • Chris says:

Would you say that about your parent or spouse or sibling?

          • tumbler43 says:

Dogs dying are incredibly sad on TV, partly because they are rare whereas in every crime show people drop like flies and even the good guys crack jokes about the dead body, gripe about their love lives, eat sandwiches talk about their dating life more than than the victim or survivors. Granted, someone is always tasked to tell the family, which doesn’t sound that hard since the ONLY line is: “Sorry for your loss.” Every…single… time.

So if “whateves” is comparing dog deaths to human deaths on the screen, he has a point.

And hey, if you do the math, Sammy was REALLY OLD! Young Jack and Emily look about 6 in the flashbacks and Jack/Emily look about 25 at least. That would make him conservatively over a hundred dog years old.

Rest in Peace Sammy. And for any little puppy Sammies you sired and their puppy-mamas, we’re sorry for your loss.

          • grannygeek says:

Wouldn’t it be cool if Emily was out running and saw a pup from Sammy’s lineage while he was out sporting around one day, so we could get him back again?

        • dlferriola says:

You are so right, Lexies death scene with Mark was soo sad, I have watched it several times & have cried everytime even though I now know what is coming

        • sam says:

she was incredibly irritating, the only other character more irritating was April. I’m so glad it was Lexie and not Arizona as many had predicted. No offense.

        • filmex says:

Hated to see Lexie go because Chyler Leigh has been a fave going way back, but she’s only 30 and has three young children, so it was probably get out now or see the young-un’s raised by a nanny. Still, her swan song was very moving and nicely played..

But Jack and Emily crying like babies while Sammy went to the big farm in the country had us balling like babies as well. Until, that is, our local affiliate ABC15 decided that was the perfect time to put a big pop-up promo banner on the screen blaring, “SEX TIPS TO HELP YOUR LOVELIFE__TONIGHT AT 10PM!””

At that point dying Sammy was no longer in view, having been completely covered by this massive alert banner (gotta love Sweeps!). It’s nice that on the local level the station engineers and execs are so involved with their own programming, have such a sense of what is on the air at any moment, that they can pick just the perfect moment to destroy an incredibly dramatic, profoundly heartbreaking scene, which probably cost the network a fortune to create.
Goodbye Lexi, goodbye Sammy, goodbye affiliate professionalism.

        • Lace says:

Lexie was a horrible character and good riddance! Sammy dying was so heartbreaking and I was in tears from the moment Jack noticed he was missing. OMG it reminded me so much of all the times I lost a pet!

      • Russ says:

I think HIMYM is still amazing, while Modern Family has become a bit stale for me after two seasons.

        • filmex says:

Just the opposite for us. “Modern family” is simply laugh out loud every single episode.

Meanwhile, we watched HIMYM for a few years at which point we realized it wasn’t actually a comedy at all. It’s like a number of long-running shows where you get comfortable with the characters and enjoy spending time in their company, but it’s not witty, it’s not clever, it hasn’t had a laugh-out-loud moment in its history.

But NPH was both Doogie and Dr. Horrible, and Jason will always be Nick from “Freaks and Geeks”, and Alyson will always be Willow from “Buffy”. I’m glad they all ended up with a profitable gig. Just wish the show was memorable.

    • etc111 says:

agree- show is terrible and plots lines are ridiculous, but they have really hit it out of the park with the songs and dancing the end of this season- impressed bc its also been a real mix of songs btwn pop, show tunes, and classics

    • Dan says:

I feel both shows are still brilliant

    • Patrick maloney says:

I really have given up on How I Met Your Mother, and their “mysteries”. Pretty much the only thing that could redeem the show is kill off Robin, and end the stupid triangle.
Calling it now, Robin is going to be cheating on her new husband Barney with. . . You guessed it, Ted!

      • jen says:

No way this isn’t a soap, Barney and Robin have many happy years together

        • Courtney says:

There was that whole “not yet” thing that Marshall said. Im not sure how but somehow it will (annoyingly) go back to Robin/Ted, I believe.

      • sam says:

They have honestly made her one of the most annoying characters on a sitcom — it’s so frustrating to watch because I love cobie but the way they write her character, with her getting pregnant then losing the baby, then mourning the baby then not wanting to have kids at all, then sabotaging her relationship with kal penn by pushing him away and then get back to Ted and still the final scene is that she wants to meet with Ted, ughhhhh. This is how i met your mother, not how I had feelings for your aunt robin…..

  2. Emma says:

Considering it was Walter that shot Olivia, I think it is safe to say she was surprised. I didn’t expect Walter to shoot her. Also, she is selfless enough to know she would have to die, so why would she draw it out?

    • wordsmith says:

I think they were more picturing her deflecting bullets or exploding like some kind of psychic bomb when she got shot. Considering how much energy she was channelling, it’s not unrealistic that something a little Fringe-ier could have happened.

  3. Liz says:

9: She can’t be the mum but maybe he ends up with her after he has kids with another woman? That’s the dream!

  4. Mile says:

“Also: Was anyone half-expecting Jennifer Morrison’s Emma to diagnose Henry with sarcoidosis and/or lupus?”
    LOL

  5. Kristen says:

Nothing will ever be better than Chrismukkah.

And Robin’s dress looked horrid on her. Why can’t they give that girl clothes that fit?

  6. Ava says:

#20, I hope other sitcom creators weep when they watch Community. Even when this show is animated or Clay-maysh, it is far superior than pretty much every other sitcome except for Parks & Rec (although I will admit that last night’s video game episode of Community may have finally bested Parks & Rec in my book).

Mad Men-I have a very difficult time seeing Alexis Bledel as a sexual creature because she was sweet innocent Rory Gilmore for so long. I vote this role was a tad bit miscast or AB just isn’t dark enough for it.

    • rowan77 says:

I think other sitcom creators understand that Community is the most creative sitcom around. Dan Harmon may currently be too childish to be the showrunner anymore (although I hope he mans up and proves people wrong), but he should remain the head writer. It takes a real talent to make sure that with all the stylistic changes Community goes though in the amazing episodes, that the voice of the show stays consistent. That’s Dan Harmon making that happen.

      • Lace says:

Read the article about Dan Harmon before you pass judgement! He did not step down, Sony Pictures decided to replace Dan and gave him a figurehead postion. He no longer has any power over scripts or how the characters are written.

    • Dan says:

It may be more creative but far from the best comedy on tv, but then again its all subjective right?

  7. Amanda says:

I think I’m one of the few people that didn’t like Lea’s vocal! Her voice while pretty is a technical mess. She’s well on her way to losing it with the way she screeches for those notes.

    • jane says:

I am all for people having different opinions about things, I am a film studies major and can’t stand Citizen Kane or Casablanca, but there are certain things that just seem too off. Saying Lea Michele can’t sing is like saying Adele can’t sing, there voices are different and I am in no way comparing them but it is so obvious that they can sing. You are free to express your opinion but I just can’t fathom how you could say that. And to answer the question above I actually put it behind her versions of Don’t Rain on My Parade and My Man.

      • jane says:

their not there – sorry my grammar sucks and I feel that correcting it will help me learn.

        • Amanda says:

I WASN’T saying she can’t sing actually. She can, but she does not employ good technique that will ensure her that vocal ability in the future. Same reasons Adele had to have throat surgery this year. Lea is on the way to destroying the voice that is her gift – is all I was saying.

          • Lauren says:

Adele had to have throat surgery because she smokes like a chimney. Don’t think Lea Michele has the same problem. And I have never heard her screech. Don’t know who you’re listening to.

  8. AJ says:

On question 8, her name is JJ in the show. AJ is her name in the real world.

  9. pecola says:

To #19, I can only say: WORD. SO. MUCH. WORD.

  10. I would accept any loophole that would make Victoria the mother tbh.

    • chrisjroof says:

The last thing in the world I would want is Victoria as the mother… Give me blah blah before Victoria…

    • Dark Defender says:

Since it will take all of next season to see how it is Barney and Robin get married.. I suspect Victoria will just be filler for the season until Ted meets Barney’s sister who will be the mother.

      • Courtney says:

I REALLY hope that Barneys sister is NOT the Mother. Thats almost everyone’s guess now that it wont be out of nowhere, and after watching for 7 years (going on 8) you want it to be a surprise. Id love for it to be Victoria though. I wish she hadn’t been ruled out. I dont understand why the story starts so far back if he doesn’t meet her until this wedding anyways.

        • L says:

Ted is telliing his kids not just about his first meeting with their mother but everything important that happened to lead him to that moment in time. I forget whether it was the show runners who explained it this way but basically Ted is telling them if all this random seeming stuff hadn’t happened yet I would never had met your mother. Finding out the mother is Barney’s sister would still be a surprise since we know nothing about her letalone what she looks like.

  11. Betty says:

16 – Both Nick and Emily killed that scene. Its one of the saddest scenes of the finales this year.
18 – WTH were the windchime sounds for? Did they think we needed to hear chimes to know we were now back at the crash? The death was early but at least it was well done. Meredith’s fake screaming and crying was the final nail in an already bad episode. I was wishing for the shoe to fall and knock her out so she’d just shut the hell up.
19 – Agree about the wire! Also dying to know who Quinn is.

    • Sophie says:

Just a hunch. Quinn is Cyrus’ daughter.

    • Marie says:

Olivia could not wear a wire. Remember she and her team got rid of all the evidence at Gideon’s murder scene and Billy knew that it was her so by wearing a wire, not only would it have evidence of their illegal activities on tape, the authorities would’ve probably gone after Quinn as well which is who they were trying to protect in the first place! So basically, Olivia wearing a wire, not a good idea

  12. Lois says:

#18. Yes, the fact it happened in the first 20 minutes of the episode killed the impact. All the people who had been hoping it wasn’t Lexie all week were destroyed and frankly annoyed. And I kept wondering if someone was joining her or there’d be a last-minute switch where Lexie miraculously came back to life and somone else would die at the end instead.

#13. It’s All Coming Back To Me Now, whilst amazing, is not my favourite EVER Glee performance. But it’s definitely up there. And Dot should DEFINITELY get an Emmy for her work in Props.

  13. sam says:

i could not believe how emotional i got about Revenge’s death — sammy actually ran to emily’s house to see her one last time….

and btw, you should know that Grey’s episode was written and filmed before shonda even knew which actors would be coming back.

    • Ana says:

Not accurate. She started writing it and revised it many times but by the time she finished she did know. That’s why she made the decisions she made. They just kept the talks under wraps.

  14. Random says:

Lexie dying so early in the episode totally left it open for someone else to die. Personally I hope it’s Mark. I love him and his character but I don’t want to watch him move on from Lexie. No one can ever replace her for him.

    • Saint Alicia says:

Agreed. I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop in the fall; me thinks Mark won’t make it either. Really, what’s left for him? Unless they somehow reunite him with Addison…
Also, killing Lexie off early didn’t diminish the impact for me, actually it left me shell-shocked for the rest of the ep.

      • Random says:

I don’t think they will reunite him with Addison. Those two were toxic together. But I completely agree I feel like I missed anything else important in the episode because i was so stunned Lexie was dead.

      • luli says:

i have yet to process that lexie is dead!! im so sad and pissed that they killed her off…

      • Ethan says:

The other shoe did drop…..and Cristina found it! lol

      • Reham says:

        I really think Mark will do it I love his character SO much but I think he will go on with Julia D;
I think the one who’s will not make it is Arizona!

    • Melissa says:

AGREED! I said the same thing. I love Mark’s character and would miss him, but I waited so long for a Mark and Lexie reunion that it was too devastating to see it happen that way and I just don’t want to see him move on to anyone else. It will feel too fake for me, I really do believe they were meant to be together. (Why do I get so involved with this show, UGH haha)

    • wordsmith says:

Mark does seem to be in pretty bad shape, but Arizona is the one coughing up blood and not telling anyone about it – she’s definitely worse off than she’s letting on. I definitely think at least one of them will be in serious jeopardy in the premiere.

  15. Tom Mc says:

If you had never seen her as Rory Gilmore you would be fine with her performance on Mad Men. I agree, I think they will never find anyone better than Victoria for Ted. And the most beautiful bride to me was Molly (Melissa McCarthy!)

  16. Kelly says:

#16. Oh good, it’s not just me. That scene with Jack saying good-bye to Sammy makes me cry just thinking about it. I’m a sucker for anything that involves dogs.

  17. GeoDiva says:

2- Glad I’m not the only one who thought Rory’s boob was fuzzy.
19 – I though for sure Olivia had a wire or some gizmo that Huch gave her. Also her wardrobe is amazing. I am very curious as to who Quinn really is.

  18. Heather says:

3 | Given the events of the Once Upon a Time finale — and seeing as how her ABC pilot didn’t make the cut — can we assume that Emilie de Ravin will be full-on recurring in Season 2 as Belle? Also: Was anyone half-expecting Jennifer Morrison’s Emma to diagnose the mysteriously ailing Henry with sarcoidosis and/or lupus?

I would love to see Emilie on a semi-regular basis on Once! That would be great. Your second comment had me laughing pretty good (those two things were so rarely diagnosed on House that the actors had to be laughing about it behind the scenes) but I couldn’t help thinking that it could have been cancer too since that was the other one that came up all the time, LOL ;)

    • ben says:

Yes yes yes, please give us Belle as a series regular. Emilie made every scene she was in better. Although I was always had wub for Claire in Lost, I don’t think I truly appreciated how good Emilie is until watching her as Belle. She makes everyone happy!

    • Dark Defender says:

More Emilie/Belle = More Rumpel/Gold… which would be awesome!

    • jules says:

Emilie is already signed on for a new show next season – Americana. Not sure what network it’s on.

  19. Thank you for giving props to Revenge’s Nick Wechsler, because he totally destroyed in that scene (Emily Van Camp was also great). I loved that the show decided to forego the manly single tear of stoicism, and just let its Jack do what most of us dog lovers would do…completely lose our minds when our pets die. It was one of the most heartwrenching scenes I’ve seen on TV in the last few years.

    • Marc says:

I couldn’t agree with you more. It broke my heart to see Jack break down, I couldn’t take my eyes off that scene, I watched it several times just to see him give in so completely to his grief. The way he kept saying “Thank you, thank you, thank you” was gutwrenching. I love Jack now more than ever because of that scene.

  20. Sabrina says:

18 – I don’t think the death early on would have ruined it if the contract statuses weren’t reported on. Had we not known they all signed we would have been wondering who could still die before they were rescued. Meredith’s overall weirdness and screaming + the nasty head would have led me to believe she could go if I didn’t know she was definitely back.

    • Billie says:

      18. I agree. If they hadn’t given us such an extensive list about who was safe, Lexie dying in the first 20 minutes would have freaked me out even more, because I would have expected someone else to die for sure. Instead, I felt like I could leave the edge of my seat and sit back a little once Lexie was gone because I felt sure that everyone else was going to pull through the episode alive.
      8. I vote JJ. Robin’s dress is king of unfortunate in my opinion. And the Heart of Dixie dress is fine, but JJ’s dress is prettier in my opinion.

  21. Leah says:

    19. I was also wondering why the heck Olivia didn’t have a wire. (I think we’ve all seen too many procedurals).
    20. That Community was amazing. I kept wanting to reach for a remote and play along.
    21. I think Liz and Criss would be pretty great, much better than any of her other men. I doubt they make it till the end, though.

  22. Judy Tankoos says:

I haven’t seen the Revenge finale yet – don’t worry, I’m not disappointed that Jack’s dog doesn’t make it (well, yes, I am – what I mean to say is, I’m ok with knowing that in advance), so I know to have plenty of Kleenex handy when it happens. I cry at the grand opening of an envelope, so you can imagine, for an animal lover like me, what the death of a beloved dog will do to me!

As far as who looked better dressed for their wedding, my vote most definitely goes to JJ in Criminal Minds! She’s the most attractive by far of the three mentioned anyway, and her beauty in her wedding dress was ethereal. She was so comfortable in her own skin and her dress and the pending nuptials, that the beauty literally radiated from her. That, of course, is just my own humble opinion!

  23. Shelly says:

#19 Does anyone have any theories on who Quinn is?

    • Zack B says:

Incorrect question all around. The real question, judging by the urgency of not allowing her to be fingerprinted, is not who she is but what she has done.

  24. Bob Lozano says:

I’ll say it again: On the LOST finale, when Meredith realized that she had been in a plane crash, she should have mumbled (or at least had an inner monologue moment and said, “Not again!” For fans of LOST, it would have been epic!

  25. Kate says:

I was going to ask you guys if you could check about the status of emilie’s role on once now that her show didn’t get picked up. It would be awesome if she was a regular!! More Rumbelle :)

    • terri says:

Definitely! Truly hope she will be a regular. I love the way her and Rumple/Gold interact. Don’t destroy that chemistry!

  26. #8 – Lemon was a beautiful bride, however… the only one not getting married!!! And Wade?! PLS PLS PLS! wet tank top everytime… or a suit… or nothing at all…

  27. sarah says:

16: I love Modern Family and I like the little quirks they characters have

18:I was sad that Lexie died and I think they had her die right away was TO allow us to not know for sure if she was dead or if by hours end she would be alive and Arizona would be the one to die as Callie was talking about how great her marriage was and when people to that sometimes something bad happens.

  28. Maggie says:

not a question but…can we add JJ & Will from Criminal Minds’s son Henry to the list of adorable TV children? even though he lost like the lost little brother of Hanson, he made up for it by being so gosh darn cute!!

  29. Nicole says:

As a dog lover, and having had to experience two childhood dogs passing away, it killed me when Sammy died. He’s the only besides Nolan who knew who Emily really is, like some weird doggie sense, and he back to her one more time.

  30. madbengalsfan85 says:

    3) It’s never Lupus

  31. Courtney says:

They wouldn’t have been able to satisfy everyone with a Susan flash forward in Desperate Housewives. Either they would show her with a man who isn’t Mike (and no one wants that!) or they would show her alone, and that’s sad to think about. Im glad they never showed.

  32. Ana says:

    18. Lexie’s death was a bit anticlimactic because we saw her in the promos and there was no realistic way that she could survive that. But I was waiting for the other shoe to drop for the rest of the epi. Worst of all, I didn’t get that Teddy was really leaving until Shonda tweeted about it. At a point where all the residents are talking about leaving I just thought that she would do the same thing: say she was leaving but then stay. So the shock value of Teddy leaving was lost on me. I say that Chyler and Kim got shafted because divas Ellen and Patrick demanded more than ABC was willing to pay and they had to make cuts. Kim’s option was up but if doesn’t appear that Chyler’s was. I think Shonda really intended to bring Lexie and Mark back together and was building up to that until last minute she realized she couldn’t keep Chyler. And I’m sure that Chyler’s willingness to become the other Grey if Ellen decided to leave did not sit well with EP. I mean, am I the only that thinks its weird that Shonda didn’t write a moving good bye scene for Mer and Lexie? And the whole season Mer and Lexie barely interacted. Derek had to step in as the sibling. Just sayin’…its weird.

    • I totally agree, the whole thing stinks. Not that the original cast doesn’t deserve more money but it was a drastic move to “get rid” of the only resident left of the second generation. It was promising in the beginning of the season as Lexie was beginning to SHINE but it seemed that the story line was leading to her demise towards the end. I would have been totally ok with her becoming the Grey in Grey’s Anatomy. A little tired with Mer.Shes gotten through internship, residency, deaths, marriage, motherhood and now has passed her boards. I am sure they will think of more for her to do but Lexie looked to have a bright future and I was excited to see her accomplish all the same things. Sad day in TV.

      • AJ says:

I agree completely. The character of Lexie seemed to have so much potential for great storylines in the future. I, like many, have waited for so long for her and Mark to come back together and be happy, and now that will never happy. Very sad and angered by the death of Lexie. And I also did not realize Teddy was actually leaving the show, until I read it. I figured, just like Jackson, Alex, etc, who are all saying they are leaving for new jobs and probably will wind up staying, I thought Teddy would stay too. She was never my favorite character, but Kim Raver did some amazing work this season after the death of Scott Foley’s character, and I wish she would be around too. If the reason these two actresses are gone is because of higher salaries for the originals, I wish they could have found a different way to save money, instead of getting rid of Chyler and Kim.

        • james says:

It’s not the reason why they are getting rid of them, they will add new characters. They seemed to written Kim Raver into a corner and I heard that kim did not want to renew her contract but I agree she had one of the most powerful story lines this year — you could just feel her anger when she wasn’t told that her husband died and then they continued to let her operate. As for Lexie, I never really took the character, i’m surprised that they would kill her off knowing that she would carry on the show with her namesake if ellen pompeo did not return but I found her unlikeable — but i honestly wish they had chosen to get rid of April as well — what she did at the boards was just unthinkable and insulting and beyond inappropriate — if this was anyway to endear us to this character, this was not it.

    • tess says:

I’m not a Meredith and Derek fan, but none of the non-originals would have had these jobs in the first place without them. I’m glad ABC kept the original characters together. If they needed to eliminate two minor characters like Lexie and Teddy, so be it. They could cut Mark, April and her annoying boy toy, too, and Grey’s would be better off, IMO. They should just end Grey’s with the originals in place. It was never going to be ER no matter what ABC might have thought.

    • Casey says:

Ellen and Patrick are only two of six originals that signed on for another two years. In almost every interview they say how much they appreciate the fans and thank them. I never got the impression of any diva like behavior from either. Two actors leaving and six signing may have nothing to do with each other. I do think they dropped the ball on the potential of the character of Lexie almost from the beginning. I also wish, if she had to leave, that they had not killed her off.

  33. Kim R says:

    #8. Molly on Mike & Molly. :)
    #11. Yes!
    #17. Hilarious!

  34. Amanda says:

Can I ADD a question to #4: What did Julie NAME her BABY on Desperate Housewives?

  35. Jules says:

Prettiest Bride= JJ. The look was simple and elegant. Lemon is always over the top with her 50’s housewife look and I just can’t picture Robin dressed up like that. They all looked nice but JJ def looked the best

  36. cjeffery7 says:

#6 – Rose Leslie – HAHAHAHA YES!! it’s like sweet innocent Gwen’s voice with brother owner LIttle Finger’s words coming out. speaking of which, where has Varys been on GoT???!!

  37. Carrie says:

11 – Yes!!! About halfway through it started to occur to me that it was probably a ruse but I was hoping it wasn’t. Damn you House!

  38. I think Bernadette from TBBT Looked the best out of all the TV Brides this year!

  39. Angela says:

#4: Good question. I don’t know. Maybe it’s more that Susan has a certainty about her future that the others didn’t-we knew what she was planning to do when she left Wisteria Lane, but we didn’t necessarily know how things would pan out for the other girls, and that was just the show’s way of letting us know.
#13: I’m still a couple weeks behind on my “Glee” shows, but I am looking forward to that performance. Will it be the best one ever, though? I dunno. There’ve been other performances that I really enjoyed on the show, so it could be hard to pick.
#15: Yeah, that was an odd song choice (and I see what you did there ;)).
#20: Ha, yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re looking on going, “Well, that’s it, they’ve got me beat.” I’m hoping, though, that other shows are looking at “Community” and getting inspired. We could use more creative series like that. I loved the video game episode, I thought it was quite fun and hilarious. And yes, I did get all sad when Troy was moving out and saying goodbye. But the tears for me came with the season finale, the bit at the end with the montage. That got to me.
As for Abed, I’ve never thought of his personality as “disturbed”, nor have I seen it as zany or sad. He is who he is-it’s more “awkward” than anything else. I think he’s mainly just been working some things out with how he relates to others this season, and that’s not easy to do.

  40. Ryan says:

I hope Emilie will become a series regular on ONCE. Love Belle.

  41. Kelly says:

I want Emilie to be a regular on Once Upon a Time. I also suggest that show scoop on Grey’s Chyler Leigh. She’d make a beatiful princess, maybe Ariel? Grey’s death was the most heartbreaking. The reason I know that is that I am still tearing and crying over it and have let go of the show entirely.

  42. Liz says:

The best theory I have seen for Quinn is that she is the Vice President’s daughter. I hope that is the way they go

  43. AJ says:

    4. I thought it was really odd that we didn’t get a flash forward into Susan’s future.
    13. Id’ say top 3 for sure!
    16. OK good, I thought I was the only person who got really really emotional at Sammy’s death. I was crying a lot, and I said to myself is this normal to cry over the death of a tv dog. So I’m glad I am not alone. And Nick Wechsler definitely destroyed that scene!
    18. I think Lexie’s death coming so early in the ep did lessen the effect, cause first I thought they would revive her somehow, cause it was only 20 minutes in. Then once I realized she was really dead, it was too late to get emotional about it. But I have to say I am very angry they killed off her character. Lexie was one of my favorities, and I was really hoping for her and Mark to finally be happy together.

  44. Tracie says:

I haven’t watched Grey’s in over a year, and the storylines that keep coming up make me not want to ever catch up on it. Sammy’s death was sad, but it was hard for me to feel any emotion toward it because I was too frustrated knowing that Emily and Jack were going to kiss, because personally, I’m probably one of the few who really doesn’t want them together. I know that they’re probably the end-game…so if that’s the case, something spectacular will have to happen to completely change my mind… because as of right now I’m just pissed off at Emily. She’s too busy trying to hold onto the past because now Jack is the only thing that she has left to remind her of her father, but if Jack really loved her, he would have known deep down that “Amanda” wasn’t really who she said she was and he wouldn’t have dated her just because she was his childhood sweetheart… which I felt that’s why he did date her, not because he liked her for her. Sigh… whatever…rant over.

    • james says:

I think a lot of people want her to be with daniel, I DO, but Daniel has been acting a bit funny since he had that closed door meeting with his father. Emily van camp said on good morning america that that was a turning point in her character that he sided with the grayson family. Did you know josh bowman is british and is using an american accent.

      • jules says:

i’m all for Daniel and Emily. They have off-screen chemistry (and an off-screen relationship, last I heard) that translates on screen as well. I’m hoping they end up together and she doesn’t get together with Jack. Also, the Jack / Emily relationship would be so typical and cliche. And yes I did know he was British. Once I found that out, it wasn’t hard to hear him trying not to be.

  45. Christian says:

    • 8 – Molly of Mike & Molly by far had the most attractive and flattering dress! And she wasn’t even mentioned as a contender!

  46. sam says:

Dot marie jones is freaking fantastic on Glee — she adds so much more depth to the character of coach that any other actor would mess up — NOT AN EMMY NOD — AN EMMY WIN!!!!

  47. Monica says:

#16: I know I’m in the minority but Nick Wechsler’s acting seemed forced, like he was trying too hard. Plus, the whole time I was thinking about the season 2 finale of Grey’s anatomy. It seemed too similar. I love Revenge but I cannot see how Jack and Emily can have a relationship that lasts more than nostalgia-sex. He seems boring and Nolan is a much more interesting character. Even recently-turned-evil Daniel is better.

  48. Karrie says:

Sammy’s death was by far the most tearful death, for me, that I can remember in a long time! That was such a gut wrenching scene and yes,Nick Wechsler slayed that scene and I loved the way Emily was fighting to hold back her tears. I love this show more with every show; can’t wait for the DVD’s!

As far as Lexie dying, MEH! I’m hoping Mark joins her; I’ve hated the couple since day 1 but was so hoping Shonda would kill off April, she’s even more annoying than Lexie used to be!

  49. Lynn says:

Love Liz and Criss together. How far in advance of next season will we find out?

  50. farsia2010 says:

i have a Question back at you, though i am happy that they all remember, i am a little confused about Kathryn’s story, it sort of just ended, what about Frederick, we saw him in Storybrook just once when he found her car but then what? is that it? everybody gets a happy ending(sort of) but her? that is miserable.
and also now that they remember, and magic is back, the curse is lifted and all, can they leave Storybrook? go anywhere? or will they all want back to the fairytale world?
i wander what will happen to Cinderella now that they remember? his father will not be happy….
Oh My God!! now that the magic is back Ruby/Red will be turning into a wolf on full moon, i hope the cape is with her.
this is going to be fun!!
oh, i forgot, so Snow is going to know how David acted when they were under the curse. i mean they both know it all was because of the curse but it is bound to be hard to get it out of your head!
Pinocchio turning into wood that fast was a bit weird since it took about a week for his leg to turn half wood, the disease got more aggressive but i guess he was turning slowly before because he was fighting it, he didn’t give and kept being honest with Emma, he didn’t give up on his mission. then it became fast because he gave up and gave in to the disease. he stopped fighting it. still i wish he would address it or sth.
and i think Rumple never saw any future or at least not properly, the reason he new what was coming was because it was his carefully laid out plan. he made Snow’s and Charming’s child the Saviour because he was the one to create the curse in the first place. he used a drop of their true love as a safe switch (an insurance). everything else was a matter of careful planning, being smart and knowing your enemies and people u use, then carefully manipulating everything and vaguely know the possible consequences because he is so powerful, he can imagine what price there is to pay for this magic. that is why he never performed the curse himself but used Regina to do it. if he saw the future, he would have seen that Pinocchio climbed in the wardrobe and would have known who August is, he would have seen Belle and that she was alive, and would have seen this world before he entered it, so he wouldn’t be so terrified of it when his son fell through and he wouldn’t need to ask Snow for her daughter’s name because he would already know it. as for instances when he knew too much and knew that snow was pregnant, i think it is because he is very powerful and if true love is the most powerful magic then new life growing from that love is bound to be magical (which is proven by Emma’s true love kiss to Henry, a kiss of a mother) so he would simply feel that magic.
