This may be the first year that not one new show description announced so far is enticing me to watch it.
Same. Maybe Tracker and The Irrational. Tracker seems similar to Reacher. The Irrational seems similar to Scorpion.
Tracker, The Irrational & I’m going to add Found, mostly because of Brett Dalton & Kelli Williams.
Those are the only two i put into my “might check it out” category, everything else looks bad to me.
I agree! I’m literally addicted to TV and this list makes me so sad! The New CW is killing the vibe I’m used to from them!
My thoughts exactly!
May try The Irrational. That’s about it.
Same. The only one I’m remotely interested in is Tracker, and that has nothing to do with the show description. If Justin Hartley weren’t in it, I wouldn’t give it another thought.
Agreed. Also getting really fed up with gender swap remakes. If they want to do this tpye of show make the characters, characters in there own right, not this.
As such same as all other simlar gender swap shows, I won’t watch.
Even though the write up’s are not overly exciting I will give The Irrational & Tracker a go. You never know they maybe OK.
They’re only doing it because they know they’ll have free publicity from all the whiner whining about it online.
You want them to stop making them? Stop whining.
It’s all just generic procedural drama. As per usual. Who would want to watch any of those shows. When shows on streaming services are better.
Because 1) they’re free if you have local TV with the digital converter box, 2) those of us who still have cable or satellite might watch, especially since DVR’s are so convenient, and 3) they will also be available on the streamers (some of them free). Not all streaming shows are that great.
Network TV in the modern era is just boring procedurals and sitcoms. It’s why they will never own award season ever again. Streaming picking up where broadcast left off over two decades ago.
Extended Family is the exact same plot as the show called Splitting Up Together, that stared Pam from The Office. Why does NBC think it will work now?
I think that one had a harder time because it aired after blackish, where they decided to go half a season with marriage issues as the lead in.
I liked Splitting Up together. I’ll probably watch Extended Family because I’m such a fan of Donald Faison and I like Abigail Spencer. I’m not big on JC but the other two should dilute him enough.
It looks like I’m going to be streaming next year. Also I can watch any network shows that are on local channels for me for free. It’s depressing.
I’ll check out Found for Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tracker for Mary McDonnell.
Seems like Elsbeth is going to be a better version of The Good Lawyer. Assuming The Good Lawyer is picked up anyway.
Found looks like a clone of Alert: Missing Persons. Might still be decent.
I have no hopes at all for the new Matlock.
Found if it hadn’t been delayed so much would have aired first. I know ill love both shows. Book-em Danno:)
Any news about Simon wanting to relaunch the x factor? I’d imagine with the writers strike that it would have been given the greenlight
Never heard anything more about it past Dec 22…
Ironically I don’t want to watch any of them until I know they’ll be getting a conclusion…
OK, so, how many copaganda shows can US television handle?
Because almost everything here is in a way or another a show about cops/police adjacent people.
While we’re picking up Canadian shows, how about Wong & Winchester? It’s only 6 episodes so far, so it’d be some good schedule spackle.
I look forward to watching these in 2025 after the strike delay when I’m paying around 25% more for content through cable or streamers after the settlement.(Reality check folks)
I think a lot more cord cutters are in the future. I can’t believe some of the shows the are replacing cancelled shows with. Thank goodness for cable and streaming channels
Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but this does not sound like a strong tv season
“Three men try to determine whether 24 women are womanizers”? That probably makes it sound more interesting than it is.
That made me wonder what the equivalent of “womanizer” would actually be for a woman who pursues uncommitted sexual relationships with men. There are lots of terms, but they all seem to have a different spin than “womanizer.” (Not that there’s a double standard of any kind, of course.) The closest I could come up with was “player,” as applying both to men and women.
So I could see slipping into using “womanizer” for this, looking for a neutral term, but it’s interesting that it comes out that way.
All boring! I want East New York back!
Bleah. Why bother? They’ll just cancel them after we get hooked. I bet we get season 524 of Grey’s Anatomy though. And Chicago Fire, PD, Med, Postal Service, Drug Store, Bank, Walmart. Junk. It’s like Vince said on Fire Country last night: “Are you trying to burn it all down?”
Chicago Sanitation. Hmm.
I’m very sad that ABC has canceled Alaska Daily, Big Sky, & The Company You Keep. All three were good shows with good writers. They should have kept them on.
I cannot wait for Elsbeth and Matlock.
I’ve been waiting for Found forever. Its been announced and put off a few times. It can’t get here soon enough. I dearly love Bret Dalton. Hurry up. Because of the writers strike watch everything get delayed. Darn it.
I have already watched The Spencer Sisters and I really like it.
Matlock and Tracker. the rest of them..good luck
The Spencer Sisters and Sullivans Crossing are already airing in Canada. SS.. don’t watch. SC. well it’s a fluff show.. something to watch while everything else is wrapping up of the season.
I think y’all can officially report that the trash live action Powerpuff Girls reboot for the CW is totally dead and so is that other spin off with Diggle from Arrow. Donald is on whole new show.
The Irrational and Matlock are the only ones that really interest me
