WHAT: A female-led spinoff of the Dune franchise, which will act as a companion series to the new Dune film and portray the events of the Frank Herbert novels through the eyes of the Bene Gesserit, a mysterious order of women.

GOSSIP GIRL

WHAT: A reboot of the hit CW drama, this new take will introduce us to a fresh crop of characters and "will address just how much social media — and the landscape of New York itself — has changed in the intervening years." Original creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will return as executive producers, along with original EP Joshua Safran, who will pen the reboot.

CIRCE

WHAT: A modern take on the world of Greek mythology told from the powerful feminist perspective of the goddess Circe, who transforms from an awkward nymph to a formidable witch, able to challenge gods, titans and monsters alike. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Jurassic World) will pen the adaptation of Madeline Miller's novel of the same name.

WHAT: The comedy series — written, created by and starring 2018 Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Matafeo — follows twenty-something Rose, a millennial in London, juggling two dead-end jobs and navigating the awkward morning-after when she discovers the complications of accidentally sleeping with a movie star.

AMERICANAH

WHAT: Based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel of the same name, Americanah is an epic story of a woman born in Nigeria who leaves for America and her extraordinary experiences with love, heartache, adversity and self-discovery. Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) will pen the pilot and serve as showrunner.

THE BOONDOCKS

PREMIERE DATE: Fall 2020

WHO: TBA

WHAT: The reboot follows the adventures of self-proclaimed "Civil Rights Legend" Robert "Granddad" Freeman, and his two rambunctious grandsons Huey and Riley. The family has recently moved to an idyllic community in suburban Maryland only to see it taken over by the tyrannical Uncle Ruckus and his bizarre neo-fascist regime. Life under Ruckus turns out to be an everyday struggle to survive. Creator Aaron McGruder returns as showrunner.

DMZ

WHO: Rosario Dawson (Marvel's Luke Cage), Benjamin Bratt (Star), Freddy Miyares (The L Word: Generation Q, When They See Us). Roberto Patino (Westworld, Sons of Anarchy) will serve as showrunner, writer and EP, while Ava DuVernay (When They See Us) will direct.

WHAT: An adaptation of the DC Comics series, which takes place in America during a second civil war, leading Manhattan to become a demilitarized zone that is destroyed and isolated from the rest of the world

SEARCH PARTY

PREMIERE DATE: Thursday, June 25

WHO: Alia Shawkat, Meredith Hagner, Brandon Micheal Hall, John Early and John Reynolds

WHAT: The TBS comedy moves to the streaming service with the already-wrapped third season, which "finds the gang swept up in the trial of the century after Dory and Drew are charged for the semi-accidental murder of a private investigator. As Elliott and Portia grapple with whether or not to testify as witnesses, the friends are pitted against each other and thrust into the national spotlight as notorious public figures. As Dory's sanity begins to fracture, it becomes increasingly clear that they may not have brunch together for quite some time."

ADVENTURE TIME: DISTANT LANDS

PREMIERE DATE: The first installment drops Thursday, June 25.

WHAT: The first special, BMO, follows the lovable little robot from Adventure Time. When there's a deadly space emergency in the farthest reaches of the galaxy, there's only one hero to call, and it's probably not BMO. Except that this time it is! The second special, Obsidian, features Marceline & Princess Bubblegum as they journey to the imposing, beautiful Glass Kingdom—and deep into their tumultuous past—to prevent an earthshaking catastrophe. Wizard City, the third installment, follows Peppermint Butler, starting over at the beginning, as just another inexperienced Wizard School student. When mysterious events at the campus cast suspicion on Pep, and his checkered past, can he master the mystic arts in time to prove his innocence? The fourth special, Together Again, brings Finn and Jake together again, to rediscover their brotherly bond and embark on the most important adventure of their lives.

GREEN LANTERN PROJECT

WHO: TBA

WHAT: The DC Comics series, from Berlanti Productions, will "depict the adventures of a multitude of Lanterns, including Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz and Alan Scott — Earth's first Green Lantern, who, true to the comics, is a gay man — and many more." It will also include fan favorites such as Sinestro and Kilowog, and introduce new heroes to the ranks of the Green Lantern Corps. The show will be co-written and executive-produced by Arrowverse alum Marc Guggenheim and Seth Grahame-Smith (The LEGO Batman Movie), with the latter serving as showrunner.

RAISED BY WOLVES

WHAT: The sci-fi series centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task. Ridley Scott (The Martian, Blade Runner) will direct and executive-produce, while Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners) serves as creator/showrunner/writer.

STRANGE ADVENTURES

WHO: TBA

WHAT: An anthology series of cautionary tales set in a world where superpowers exist, Strange Adventures will feature characters from across the DC Comics canon and explore "close-ended morality tales about the intersecting lives of mortals and superhumans." The project follows "man of two worlds" Adam Strange, an archaeologist-turned-intergalactic hero when he's zeta-beamed to planet Rann. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will serve as EPs, while John Stephens (Gotham) will be the showrunner/writer.

WHAT: A dark yet playful half-hour following a group of high school students whose exploration of modern sexuality (devices and all) tests deeply entrenched beliefs about life, love and the nature of family in their conservative community. Lena Dunham (Girls) serves as an executive producer on the series, which is created by 18-year old Zelda Barnz and her father, Daniel Barnz.

THE PRINCE

WHO: The voice cast includes Gary Janetti as Prince George, Orlando Bloom (Carnival Row) as Prince Harry, Condola Rashad (Billions) as Meghan Markle, Lucy Punch (A Series of Unfortunate Events) as Kate Middleton, Tom Hollander (American Dad!) as both Prince Philip and Prince Charles, Alan Cumming (The Good Wife) as George's butler, Frances De La Tour (Outlander) as Queen Elizabeth and Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Prince William

WHAT: An animated comedy series created by Gary Janetti (Family Guy), whose Instagram account hilariously satires British Royals through the eyes of a young Prince George, the eldest child of Prince William and Duchess Kate. Per the royal logline, "Before George rules Britannia, he'll be laying down his own laws in Janetti's comedic take on the future King of England's childhood as seen from the prince's own point of view. Because his succession isn't coming anytime soon, in each episode George will find his path in life as a young prince in modern times — from the 775 rooms of Buckingham Palace to his family's sea of corgis to primary school with commoners."

AQUAMAN: KING OF ATLANTIS

WHO: Cast members TBA. James Wan, who directed the 2018 live-action Aquaman film, will serve as an executive producer.

WHAT: A three-part animated series based on the classic DC Comics character, which will begin with Aquaman's first day on the job as king of Atlantis alongside his two royal advisors, Vulko and Mera. "Between dealing with unscrupulous surface dwellers, elder evils from beyond time and his own half-brother who wants to overthrow him, Aquaman is going to have to rise to the challenge and prove to his subjects, and to himself, that he's the right man for the trident," the logline reads.

WHO: The project hails from J.G. Quintel, the Emmy-winning creator of Cartoon Network's Regular Show.

WHAT: An animated comedy about a married couple, their 5-year-old daughter and their two divorced best friends/roommates, all of whom live together on the east side of Los Angeles

COLLEGE GIRLS

WHAT: This half-hour comedy follows three freshmen roommates at a college in Vermont. "A bundle of contradictions and hormones," the logline reads, "these sexually active college girls are equal parts lovable and infuriating."

CRIME FARM

WHO: Cast members TBA. Nicole Kidman is attached to executive-produce, while Janine Sherman Barrois (Claws) will serve as a writer and EP.

WHAT: Described as a "psychosexual love story," this drama follows Selma and Richard Eikelenboom, forensic homicide experts whose marriage "thrives on their all-consuming investigations into the depravity of the world's most notorious criminals. As a seminal case upends the paradigm of their relationship, their unique, unconventional and sometimes dangerous arrangement stretches the boundaries of marriage and science to the limit."

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK UNIVERSE PROJECT

WHO: Cast members TBA. J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot shingle will produce.

WHAT: A "major series" based on DC characters in the Justice League Dark universe. The Justice League Dark itself is a superhero team that originally was comprised of characters such as Zatanna, Madame Xanadu, John Constantine, Shade and the Changing Man, while later incarnations involved Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman and Detective Chimp.

LITTLE ELLEN

WHAT: A 2D-animated, 15-minute children's show that explores the world through the eyes of a hilarious and unpredictable 7-year-old Ellen DeGeneres. "On her adventures in her musical hometown of New Orleans, Little Ellen takes big risks and makes big mistakes," reads the synopsis, "but she's always able to laugh at herself and bounce back when things don't go as planned."

RED BIRD LANE

WHAT: In this psychological horror series, eight strangers arrive at an isolated house — all for different reasons — and quickly realize that something sinister and terrifying awaits them.

RULES OF MAGIC

WHO: Cast members TBA. Melissa Rosenberg (Marvel's Jessica Jones) is among the executive producers and writers.

WHAT: A prequel to the 1998 film Practical Magic (which was based on Alice Hoffman's novel), this "epic, generational family drama" is set in 1960s New York City, following three siblings — Franny, Jet and Vincent Owens — as they wrestle with abnormalities that have kept them isolated... not to mention grief, war, bigotry, dark magic and a centuries-old curse designed to keep them away from love.

SESAME STREET

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

WHAT: New episodes of the beloved kids' TV show, which will later air on PBS Kids several months after they drop on HBO Max. The streamer has also ordered a series of Sesame Street spinoffs and specials, including the late-night talk show parody The Not Too Late Show With Elmo (premiering Wednesday, May 27; watch trailer); Mecha Builders, a cartoon that imagines Sesame Street characters as heroes in robot-animation style; and The Monster at the End of This Story, an animated adaptation of the children's book The Monster at the End of This Book. (Season 2 of the children's series Esme & Roy will move to HBO Max, as well, premiering Thursday, June 25.)

WHAT: A prehistoric comedy that explores Fungietown through the eyes of Seth, a young student at Fungietown Elementary who loves sharing his exciting scientific discoveries with his friends... though he often stirs up trouble for Fungietown's residents while in pursuit of the ultimate scientific adventure.

THE GRISWOLDS

WHO: Cast members TBA. Christmas Vacation alum-turned-Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki (aka Russ Griswold No. 3) is on board as an executive producer, while Tim Hobert (Scrubs, The Middle) will write and serve as a fellow EP.

WHAT: Based on the National Lampoon's Vacation films, this single-camera comedy follows members of the titular family after they return home from their vacation, focusing on their lives in the suburbs of modern-day Chicago.

THE HELLFIRE CLUB

WHO: Cast members TBA. CNN anchor Jake Tapper is among the executive producers, as is Mark L. Smith (The Revenant).

WHAT: An adaptation of Tapper's first novel, The Hellfire Club tells the story of Charlie Marder, a young congressman who arrives in 1950s Washington, D.C. after the mysterious death of his predecessor, then uncovers a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government.

THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS

WHAT: A series adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper's novel, which explores the unlikely romance between a young Mohican and the mixed-race daughter of a British colonel.

WHAT: An action-comedy that will explore the origins of Cena's Suicide Squad character, "a man who believes in peace at any cost — no matter how many people he has to kill to get it," according to the official release. The Suicide Squad writer/director James Gunn will pen all eight episodes and direct several installments of the companion series, including the series premiere.
