7 Shows On The Bubble

Homecoming

ALL AMERICAN

PRO: With DVR playback factored on, its modest live ratings regularly tick up by more than 50 percent. And the Greg Berlanti-produced drama enjoys strong support internally at The CW.

CON: Its live ratings are indeed very modest, with the show regularly fumbling half of its Riverdale lead-in.

BULL

PRO: The CBS procedural is performing decently in its new Monday-at-10 pm time slot...

CON: ... but perhaps not decently enough to weather this kind of PR crisis.

DANCING WITH THE STARS

PRO: Yes, Season 27 was a dumpster fire, but would ABC really cancel a show that still garners a 1.0+ demo rating?

CON: Well, ABC pulled it off its Spring schedule for the first time ever, so, at this point, all bets are off.

DYNASTY

PRO: We thought this guilty pleasure was DOA last season and then The CW went and renewed it!

CON: Its most recent episode sank to a series-low 557K viewers, so producers may want to begin prepping for a series finale.

THE GIFTED

PRO: Just as we've seen with ABC's unflagging commitment to the death-defying Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fox may be relucant to cancel a Marvel-branded show.

CON: The network may be less reluctant if the show's numbers keep dropping; it's currently Fox's lowest-rated drama series (recent episodes have flirted with a 0.6 demo rating).

LETHAL WEAPON

PRO: Despite the series' modest ratings (and we're being generous), Fox recently ordered two additional episodes, bringing its Season 2 total to 15.

CON: First Clayne Crawford is fired. Then Damon Wayans threatens to quit. In the words of Mary J. Blige, Fox has to be so tired, so tired of the drama.

Diamond Earrings and a Pumpkin Head

MOM

PRO: The Anna Faris-Allison Janney two-hander remains CBS' No. 3 sitcom, behind the soon-to-conclude Big Bang Theory and sophomore spinoff Young Sheldon.

CON: Faris and Janney will see their current contracts expire at season's end and, per Deadline, the pair are seeking "significant" salary bumps — and the figure Warner Bros. is currently offering them is reportedly nowhere near what the actresses want.
