Two of Sabrina Spellman’s nearest and dearest are making themselves at home on Netflix. Gavin Leatherwood, who plays Sabrina’s hot-as-literal-hell boyfriend Nick, and Lachlan Watson, who plays Sabrina’s trusty BFF Theo, have been promoted to series regulars for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s upcoming third and fourth parts, TVLine has confirmed.
Both characters experienced major personal growth during Sabrina‘s second chapter, which dropped back in April. Not only did Theo officially come out as transgender, but Nick became Sabrina’s official boyfriend… before sacrificing himself to prevent the Dark Lord — who turned out to be (gasp!) Sabrina’s biological father — from ushering in the end of days.
Part 2 ended with Sabrina inviting her mortal pals, including Harvey and Roz, on the adventure of a lifetime: “Let’s go to hell and get my boyfriend back.” The fact that Leatherwood is now a series regular gives us even more faith that Sabrina’s makeshift Scooby gang will successfully retrieve Nick from the Dark Lord’s clutches.
Though Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been renewed for Parts 3 and 4 (aka Seasons 3 and 4), a return date for the new episodes has yet to be announced. The cast is currently filming in Vancouver.

I still find it weird (pardon the pun) that one of the Weird Sisters is still not a series regular!
It’s is a little weird to be fair though one of them has a much bigger role than the other 2, I was surprised Theo wasn’t already a cast member.
Since they filmed Parts 1 and 2, back to back I’m sure they kept the actors’ statuses the same for both, which explains why Gavin Leatherwood was recurring for Part 2, despite the increased presence. I too am confused as to why Lachlan Watson and Abigail Cowen were both recurring previously, though.
Came here to say the same thing. Dorcas Night’s portrayer deserves to be promoted to series regular too. The credits are so bizarre when they list the other two but then quickly zoom past her like she’s a nonentity–especially since she has more acting credits than the actress who plays Agatha.

Agreed Harvey and Ros relationship need to be stopped, before the dynamic gets any weirder btwn their group friendship now that Sabrina has reunited with her mortal friends again, although I think sooner or later Harvey-Ros will break up, just like Nick-Sabrina will I think
Nick literally just go to hell, but will be out soon
and he barely had anything traumatizing happened to him except some familiar he banished long time ago get killed by Sabrina (he got over it very soon), so fans expect a happy ending for Nabrina?
Erm I don’t think so given how dark this show is
But both Harvey and Rosalind need to have more independent stories and exploration without depending on each other
Ros need to explore the cunning and her family history more like why they got cursed and how long the curse will last, why the male born spared etc etc
Harvey need to be a bad-ass witch hunter, he got potential already I saw My Friend Dahmer he can be scary, and his love story with Sabrina need to have an actual love story not a break up story

I’m a little surprised that Harvey is such a pathetic wimp on this reinvented series.
Lol Harvey in this new reinvented series is much less a wimp than the 90’s Harvey (a total wimp)
and all the animated Sabrina series (even worse)
This new Harvey is more useful and independent than all the old ones
But none of their versions are pathetic,
except the Harvey version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch 1996 movie – that one is seriously pathetic

This new one is easily the best in term of character, although Harvey’s on-screen presence and story with Sabrina are much less so far compared to the old ones

Although kinda disappointed they didn’t use this instance to up Abigail Cowen as series regular, she deserves more than Gavin and her drawing already in the opening credit, and she acted more than actress playing Agatha in this show
Out of topic, seems more so-called American TV shows/movies filming in Canada nowadays and seems filming in US for TV shows and movies is becoming more expensive. ‘Murica
I hope the show stays for awhile before cancellation. I like Leatherwood, but I am not so sure Lilith will let him leave with Sabrina and company unless they find a way to get The Dark Lord out of him first. Just because she put Sabrina in that mess and helped her clean it up, does not mean she will be willing to let Nick go. She wants to keep her crown, not hand it over again.
