SNL With Mick Jagger (and a Farewell to Kristen Wiig): Best and Worst Skits?

kristen wiig snl last episode

Kristen Wiig got an emotional send-off as she made her final curtain call during the season finale of Saturday Night Live. It’s just too bad that the episode as a whole didn’t provide a funnier last impression for the fabulous comedienne, Oscar-nominated earlier this year for her excellent Bridesmaids screenplay.

It didn’t help, of course, that host Mick Jagger …READ MORE

KWiigSNLMickJagger

Although NBC still isn’t confirming, there is increasing buzz that this weekend’s Saturday Night Live season finale will mark the final show for castmembers Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg.

Wiig makes no hint that the end is near in the just-released promo for her likely swan song, but the clip is still worth a watch — mostly because it’s funny …READ MORE & WATCH VIDEO

SNL With Will Ferrell: Best and Worst Skits

Screen Shot 2012-05-13 at 8.40.35 AM

This season of Saturday Night Live has been full of reunions. Unfortunately, one of the most anticipated — the return of three-time host Will Ferrell — didn’t take Studio 8H by storm like previous SNL grads Jimmy Fallon and Maya Rudolph. Below, find my picks for this week’s best and worst sketches: READ MORE

SNL With Josh Brolin: Best and Worst Skits

Screen Shot 2012-04-15 at 10.47.06 AM

When Steven Spielberg shows up to direct Laser Cats 7 — starring a stuffed-animal E.T. playing E.A.T. (Extra Awesome Terrestrial) — you know you’re in for a weird, wacky edition of Saturday Night Live. And while host Josh Brolin was more of a fringe player than the star of the show — even his monologue felt like little more than an excuse for Jay Pharoah (yes, he’s still in the cast!) to break out his wicked Will Smith impression — there were nevertheless an above-average number of laughs in the episode. Here are my picks for best and worst sketches: …READ MORE
