Funniest TV Moments Of 2016
saturday-night-live-david-pumpkins
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
The SNL writers struck gold when they thought up David S. Pumpkins, the eccentric centerpiece of a theme-park ride. Tom Hanks was unabashedly weird, the skeletons were... part of it and the sketch instantly earned its place in the SNL Hall of Fame. Any questions?
gilmore-girls-paris-bathroom
GILMORE GIRLS: A YEAR IN THE LIFE
The sight of old flame Tristan sent Paris into a full-on meltdown in the Chilton ladies' room, capped by her karate-kicking the door closed to keep out intruders. Can't a girl freak out in peace?
the-walking-dead-carol-meets-ezekiel
THE WALKING DEAD
Upon being introduced to King Ezekiel — and his pet tiger! — "fair maiden" Carol had to try so hard not to LOL that we went ahead and did it for her.
the-big-bang-theory
THE BIG BANG THEORY
We can't decide which was funnier about Amy and Sheldon's first night living together: the painstaking process that was negotiating who gets what side of the bed, Sheldon's reaction to hearing Amy brush her teeth, Amy's reaction to hearing him snore, or Sheldon rolling over and knocking Amy onto the floor. So we're just gonna go with all of the above.
broad-city-abbi-becomes-ilana
BROAD CITY
Before covering Ilana's shift at a strict food co-op, Abbi received a crash course in how to walk, talk and get high like her best friend. The takeaway? No one can pull off a "Yas, queen!" quite like Ilana can.
brooklyn-nine-nine-jake-holt-mumps
BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
Few things are funnier than Capt. Holt shedding his usual deadpan nature. When he and Jake got the mumps and tried to work through their delirium to solve a case, B99 was at its silliest and most entertaining.

INSIDE AMY SCHUMER
Amy had an allergic reaction (understandably) when she went to her ob-gyn and wound up getting examined by the crusty old men of the House Committee on Women's Health.
better-call-saul-squat-cobbler
BETTER CALL SAUL
Jimmy was forced to describe the sexual act known as "squat cobbler" to a pair of investigators. They could have just looked it up on Urban Dictionary, but this was waaaay more hysterical.
funniest-moments-2016-veep
VEEP
Jonah engaged in a highly inappropriate phone call on the campaign trail. Even funnier than the reveal of where he was at the time of the call was his campaign manager's reaction.
unbreakable-kimmy-schmidt-bunny-kitty-song
UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT
Kimmy came up with a cute theme song to go with a cute video of a bunny and kitty cuddling, and we're still singing it: "Bunny and Kitty being best friends/Together forever, the fun never ends..."
insecure-issa-broken-pussy
INSECURE
Issa's impromptu "Broken P—y" rap was a hilarious hit with the audience at the club, the audience at home — pretty much everybody except BFF Molly, whose vajayjay inspired it.
bobs-burgers-tina-rides-jericho
BOB'S BURGERS
It was nothing but horsing around — silly, sweet, brilliant horsing around — when novice equestrian Tina wowed the crowd at her riding exhibition by mounting her imaginary steed, Jericho.
Video (sadly) not available.
atlanta-invisible-car-fx
ATLANTA
No sight gag made us giggle more this year than the reveal that pro baller Marcus Miles wasn't just bragging about his "invisible car." It's real... and it can do some damage.
best-worst-tv-2016-funniest-moments-divorce
DIVORCE
Molly Shannon's soused rich-bitch Diane fired a gun at hubby Nick — after he objected to her lewd dancing with another man at her birthday party — setting off his heart attack, not to mention her BFF Frances' decision to give serious thought to the D-word.

difficult-people
DIFFICULT PEOPLE
Demoralized from his temporary demotion to café delivery person, drama-queen Matthew (the riotous, underrated Cole Escola) decided to embrace the gig, only to get attacked and robbed by a gang of grade-school kids upon hitting the street. As his over-the-top cries for help went ignored, he channeled his inner damsel in distress by dramatically falling to the ground and wailing, "What's happening?! What's happening?!"

PETER MACKENZIE, JEFF MEACHAM, DEON COLE, ALLEN MALDONAD, ANTHONY ANDERSON
BLACK-ISH
Dre's white co-workers were horrified when they saw surveillance footage of him abandoning a blonde three-year-old girl on an elevator. But as they struggled with Dre's excuse that, as a black man, he'd inevitably be seen as a threat to the vulnerable moppet, his African-American colleagues Charlie and Curtis confessed that they, too, took the stairs to avoid the kid.

TRIUMPH'S SUMMER ELECTION SPECIAL
We should've known Trump had a chance when Triumph the Insult Comic Dog showed his supporters a series of increasingly ridiculous fake campaign ads — put guns in women's bathrooms! Deport illegal immigrants by locking them inside Porta-Potties! — and they barely batted an eye.
fleabag-episode-4-silent-retreat-blowup-doll
FLEABAG
While Fleabag and her sister Claire attended a completely silent, women-only "empowerment" retreat, our titular heroine discovered an equally ridiculous, neighboring workshop in which emotionally repressed men screamed abuse at blowup dolls.

Josh and I Go to Los Angeles!
CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND
The CW's quirky rom-com gave us a dozen delightful musical numbers this year, but the most hilarious of all was "JAP Battle," which saw Rebecca go toe-to-toe with her childhood nemesis Audra in a rap battle between two Jewish-American princesses — heavy on the Yiddish.
silicon-valley-pied-piper-jacket
SILICON VALLEY
Gilfoyle lives to humiliate his fellow programmer Dinesh, like when he proudly wore Jared's eyesore of a Pied Piper jacket to a coffee shop and loudly let everyone know that he and Dinesh were best pals.
