Supergirl Photos: Dichen Lachman as Roulette, More Alex/Maggie Bonding

Genre-TV vet Dichen Lachman takes the DC Comics villainess Roulette for a spin in photos from Monday’s episode of The CW’s Supergirl. Also, Alex manages to cross paths again with NCPD Detective Maggie Sawyer.

In the fourth episode of Season 2, “Survivors,” when Kara and Alex investigate the murder of an unregistered alien, the trail leads to a fight club run by Roulette, where aliens slug it out for the amusement of humans. While trying to stop the fighting, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter find themselves up against a surprising opponent.

Elsewhere, Hank is thrilled to have found another Martian and tries to get to know M’Gann (played by Sharon Leal) better. Also, Supergirl takes Mon-El under her wing and begins to train him.

Really hoping they don’t push the new lesbian partner and Agent Danvers together as a couple. Keep it interesting and cool, have it be a one way or maybe even a bit of a two way flirtation but keep Danvers (presumably) straight. No need to get hyper diverse/PC and have Danvers all of a sudden be experimental or bisexual.

Poor Mon-El! He looks so sad. Dichen Lachman looks so bad arse! Just like she was on Agents of SHIELD. I can’t wait!

I take issue with this ‘relationship’ subplot. I am seriously pissed that Berlanti is using these shows to push his queerlover agenda. It ceases to be entertainment and becomes more like propaganda, and we can get that on FOX.

When FOX did this on GOTHAM with Barbara Keen and Renee Montoya, they didn’t drag it tou all through the season, just a few episodes(and one bedroom scene).

I may not watch EITHER show this year if we’re to be subjected to this.

I do much better with my own DVD collection.

      yikes….
      It’s gonna be ok.

Jeremy, I’m trying to understand you here but damn… I am not a fan of “relationships subplots” on superhero shows myself, since I often would prefer more focus on side charaters that don’t get much love. But I have to deal with it. Relationships exist, and people conect with people. BERLANTI IS GAY. Of course he WILL write gay characters. If he doesn’t who will? It’s called representation.
You seem more upset about the relationship subplot been between two lesbians than the fact that is a ‘relationship subplot’ itself. If you weren’t a homophobic you wouldn’t even mention gender.
You think having characters that are not all straight people is propaganda? Dude, I am SURE there are plenty of non straight people around you, and if you don’t know that, it’s because they either don’t trust you or feel safe around you.
Anyway, if this upsets you so much, just stop watching and wasting your time. Go watch a show with all straight white people.

Because years of showing heterosexual couples in movies and TV shows as the only existing people in the world and not to mention, slurs about homosexual people wasn’t pushing the hetero agenda??? Yeah right. I find it hilarious that you people are complaining over having a few homosexual characters now when the heterosexual agenda has been rampant for decades and is FAR worse.

It is pretty obvious that Barbara and Tabitha are more than business partners.
And Oswald has already come out, professing his love for Edward.

The photos from new episode looks good. Can’t wait to see the episode on Monday!

  5. Niurka Castaneda says:

They better do not make Agent Danvers gay. I am tired that always when you have a strong independent woman they make it seem like she is gay. that is so bias. n

    • Rex the Wonder Dog says:

Alex Danvers was a character created for the show, so they can pretty much do anything they want with her and not break canon. If they made Supergirl a lesbian then that would be something to complain about.

  6. racerxxxx says:

she has done a lot of good work. She will be a good addition

  7. gamer says:

I hope there don’t put the twist that mon El is a villain later in the season, if they do that I wonder if there is a writer who has issues with friendship since they did that in the flash twice.

  8. Kelly says:

Love the Alex and Maggie pairing. If you don’t like…turn the channel. I’m not sure I am a huge fan of Maggie yet but they had good chemistry. Like to see where it goes. The bubble that some people live in is amazing!!

  9. Starbuck84 says:

Dichen Lachman looks great as Roulette. Really hoping she’ll get a genre starring role next.
I’m pretty neutral about the Alex Danvers character in general, but she and Maggie do have an enjoyable type of chemistry so I’m pretty cool with whatever they want to do with that as long as they keep having scenes together. But at the same time all the fanboy whining and low-key homphobic comments make it a lot easier for me to be on board with a potential romantic pairing of the two of them if the show does want to go there.
