Beyond @ Comic Con: Freeform Sci-Fi Thriller Gets a Trailer, Premiere Date

Ready to go Beyond? If so, you’re in luck: You won’t have to wait long after Freeform’s new sci-fi drama debuts to see the whole thing.

At Beyond‘s panel at New York Comic Con on Friday, Freeform unveiled a premiere date for the upcoming series — Monday, Jan. 2 at 9/8c — along with a new trailer, which you can watch above. Plus, in a first for the network, all ten episodes of Beyond will be available to stream via the Freeform app and Hulu on the night of the series premiere.

Beyond stars Burkely Duffield (Minority Report) as a young man who emerges from a 12-year coma, only to discover he now possesses supernatural abilities. And he’ll need them to uncover a massive, and dangerous, conspiracy. A mysterious girl named Willa (Dilan Gwyn, from Da Vinci’s Demons) writes in marker on his arm; he thinks it’s her phone number, but actually it says “You’re In Danger, Trust No One.”

But he also unleashes some badass telekinetic powers when his friend is held at gunpoint. So we may need to binge all ten episodes at once just to untangle all the mysteries here. Hey, thanks, Freeform!

    The video is already removed.

  2. MissEllys says:

This could start a trend for releasing new shows, though I think it’s mostly thrillers and sci-fi shows that benefit from the binge format

  3. Tyler says:

When content providers don’t make trailers available to all countries it is extremely infuriating. Wanted to watch the trailer to see if it’s a show I would be into but I guess they only want Americans to watch. Pass.

  4. David Finucane says:

I miss House Of Anubis 😭😭

  5. Steven says:

I attended the panel and saw the premiere. It did not disappoint! Burkely was also so nice! Can’t wait to binge it.

  6. Aubrey says:

This looks really good, I’ll definitely be tuning in.

  7. Marco Piazzo says:

This sounds very Kingian… In fact it’s very reminiscent of The Dead Zone (guy wakes up with powers after long coma) only this time, ‘Johnny Smith The 2nd’ (let’s call him that) has Carrie’s powers. Sounds interesting nonetheless.

  8. Jared says:

I’ve been waiting for Burkely to lead his own show. Beyond looks really great and I’m not mad Freeform decided to release the whole season at once. Smart move.

  9. Is this show available in Canada?
