Criminal Minds Beaver Rhodes

Supernatural's Jim Beaver, Kim Rhodes Visit Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders

The Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders/Supernatural lovefest continues, with the CBS drama’s casting of two more favorites from the long-running CW series.

As revealed on Twitter by Beyond Borders executive producer Adam Glass, a former writer/EP on Supernatural, both Jim Beaver and Kim Rhodes — who have recurred on Supernatural as Bobby Singer and Sheriff Jody Mills — will guest-star in the same Season 2 episode of the crime drama.

Beaver, TVLine has learned, will appear in the ninth episode as Deputy Director of National Intelligence Donald Atwood, who has a familiar shorthand with Agent Jack Garrett (played by Beyond Borders frontman Gary Sinise)..

Rhodes in turn will play Lydia Barnes, an Executive Assistant Director of the FBI’s National Security Branch. A committed agent with an unwavering sense of duty, her path crosses with Jack and the IRT because of national security implications.

Previously, Matt Cohen— who played Young John Winchester on Supernatural — was cast in the recurring role of Jack Garrett’s son Ryan, while Osric Chau (aka Supernatural‘s Kevin), Rob Benedict (Chuck/God) and Richard Speight Jr. (Gabriel) will guest-star in early Season 2 episodes (get details).
