New Girl David Hornsby Cast Season 6

New Girl Casts David Hornsby (aka Mr. Emily Deschanel) as Jess' Adversary

New Girl is keeping its latest casting in the family.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s David Hornsby will guest-star in a November episode of the Fox comedy, TVLine has learned exclusively.

In addition to being an accomplished actor in his own right, Hornsby is married to Bones star Emily Deschanel and brother-in-law to New Girl lead Zooey Deschanel. In the Season 6 installment, he’ll play the head of Jess’ school’s parent council, a tough customer whom Miss Day really, really wants to impress.

We also hear that, in Hornsby’s episode, Nick — who is new and improved this season, thanks to his romantic retreat with Reagan — comes up with an unbelievable idea for Schmit and Cece’s wedding present.

In addition to Sunny, Hornsby has appeared on How to Be a GentlemanThe Goldbergs, BonesHello LadiesSix Feet Under and The West Wing, among other TV series.
