Hand of God Cancelled Amazon

Hand of God Cancelled at Amazon

Barring some deus ex machina action, Hand of God is done at Amazon.

The Ron Perlman-Dana Delany drama will end after its upcoming second season, per The Hollywood Reporter.

“We’re wrapping up the storyline in Season 2, which debuts next year, and are excited to bring it to customers,” an Amazon rep tells TVLine.

The streaming video service will release Season 2 sometime in 2017. Hand of God was renewed for a sophomore run in December.

After a very late renewal, a very early cancellation: this season 2 seems like a miracle !

  2. Jasie says:

Really liked season 1. Just glad that they will be able to wrap it up, unlike Mad Dogs. It does seem like Amazon has less patience for shows to take hold then Netflix. Beside Transparent and too a less extant Bosch, most shows are 1 and done or 2 seasons and one. or forever in Limbo like Alpha House.

According to Shawn Ryan, Amazon wanted another season of Mad Dogs but Cris Cole (the creator) decided not to pursue it. Just watch the british version (which is superior) if you want more of a fix. It had a great ending as well.

  3. HAP says:

I was surprised that this show got a second season. Never thought much of it. I do hope they don’t mess with Bosch. Bosch is perhaps right up there with Major Crimes as the best cop show on all platforms.

  4. TheloNaGrapso says:

Pathetic news on both fronts. Not only the cancellation but the delay of the second season to 2017. Hopefully they do their thing and end it in a good way.

    Sad to hear this news!

  6. Kay says:

Hand of God is nothing short of brilliance! I loved season I & II. Why are all the great new series canceled so early. Season II was canceled before it was even aired to the public; why? I’m very disappointed to hear that The Hand of God has ended!

C’mon. It’s a great show.. Leaving us hanging after season 2 is just unfair!! Everything was coming together…

This was an interesting & creative show! So tired of the typical crime dramas…wish there was going to be a season 3! I would have watched this from day one… Maybe there was not enough advertising for the show?

  11. Daryl says:

I can’t believe this show was canceled! God forbid we have a show that isn’t mindless crap staring a bunch of children.

  12. Paula says:

I have been binge watching Hand of God this past week (just purchased Amazon Fire tv). So disappointed the series has been dropped! It’s a REALLY GOOD SHOW!!!

  13. Tye says:

Hand of God Season 1 & 2 were epic and very disappointed that there will not be a Season 3!! The acting and story line was brilliant! Come on make another Season!!!

  14. debbie says:

Really sorry that there is no season 3!!

  15. Art says:

Extremely disappointed to find out the show was cancelled. Just finished season 2 and was excited to see when season 3 was going to air. The show was very compelling and should have been brought to a logical conclusion in season 3. If you will not finish it, I feel it should be eliminated from being offered as it will just frustrate more viewers when they find out it was cancelled.
