Let’s face it, Future Man, the odds were for ever in your favor before the pilot was greenlit.
Hulu announced on Friday that it has placed a 13-episode series order for the half-hour comedy starring Hunger Games‘ Josh Hutcherson. The project, whose exec producers include Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, follows a janitor by day/gamer by night who is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time in order to prevent the extinction of humanity. The story was conceived by Sausage Party scribes Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter, as well as Howard Overman (Merlin)
The cast also includes Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings), Derek Wilson (Preacher), Ed Begley Jr. (St. Elsewhere) and Glenne Headly (The Night Of).
Hulu is eyeing a 2017 launch date for Future Man.
