Fresh off her buzzy, meme-generating run as Stranger Things’ Poor Barb, Shannon Purser is moving to Riverdale.

Per EW.com, Purser will portray the Archie character Ethel Muggs. And while she has a major crush on Jughead in the comics, Ethel will find herself in a romantic relationship with someone very different on The CW’s midseason drama.

Additionally, Robin Givens (Head of the Class) will recur on Riverdale as Mayor Sierra McCoy, the mother of Josie from Josie & The Pussycats, our sister site Deadline reports.

* Cinemax has given a pilot order to the crime drama Warrior, penned by Banshee co-creator Jonathan Tropper and based on original material written by the late martial artist/actor Bruce Lee, per Deadline. The project, which is set in San Francisco’s Chinatown in the aftermath of the Civil War, centers around a young martial-arts prodigy who finds himself caught up in the bloody Chinatown Tong wars.
