On Monday’s season finale of The Fosters (Freeform, 8/7c), AJ finally tells Mike how he really feels about his foster father’s disapproval of his girlfriend. But first, everyone will be seeing double when Bailee Madison reprises her role as Callie’s doppelgänger-like sister Sophia.
“Wow, there’s two of you. That’s crazy,” Aaron comments in this exclusive video, earning some side-eye from AJ. When Sophia notes to her sis how cute and smart Aaron is — guess someone didn’t get the memo that Callie’s already taken — Mike becomes suspicious of the friendship between the young law student and AJ’s girl.
“I know you don’t like Callie, but I do, and I’m going to keep seeing her,” AJ bluntly responds. “And if you don’t want me to keep seeing her, well, that’s too bad.” And if Mike really doesn’t approve, the teen will “just move on” to the next home.
Read on for an official description of the season ender:
Callie and the family set up a ‘”Justice for Jack” booth at a music festival in order to gather signatures to stop Justina’s foster care bill, but Callie’s persistence in advocating for both Jack and Kyle lands her in a dangerous situation. Additionally, Callie’s efforts are sidelined when the tensions between her boyfriend AJ and her friend Aaron come to a head. Mariana, still taking Jesus’ ADHD prescription medication, sees Nick and runs away from the festival, sending the family into a frantic search for her. Meanwhile, Stef discovers that her inquiries into Kyle’s case will have repercussions at her job.
