Fall TV Preview
Nick Offerman Megan Mullally Life in Pieces

Life in Pieces Casts Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman as 'Too Close' Siblings

Real-life husband and wife duo Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally will share a, um, different kind of familial relation on Life in Pieces.

The couple will guest-star in the CBS comedy’s Season 2 premiere as the mother and “Uncle Dad” to Clementine (played by recently promoted series regular Hunter King).

Mullally’s Mary-Lynn is a free-spirited and open-minded mom who enlisted her brother Spencer (Offerman) to help raise Clementine after her husband left. Together, they are very supportive and caring parents, with Spencer taking his role as the girl’s father and uncle very seriously.

But the unique situation has created a sibling relationship that is a little too close for comfort. Case in point: Mary-Lynn and Spencer share a bedroom with twin beds.

Mullally and Offerman previously shared the screen on Parks and Recreation, where the actress recurred as Tammy Two, a crazy ex-wife of Offerman’s Ron Swanson.

Offerman — who followed up his Parks and Rec run with a dramatic role in Fargo Season 2 — can next be heard as the voice of an animated character on Fox’s fall comedy Son of Zorn. Will & Grace vet Mullally will appear in an episode of Hulu’s upcoming sci-fi/fantasy anthology series Dimension 404 and is the voice of Gayle on Bob’s Burgers.

Life in Pieces Season 2 premieres Thursday, Oct. 27 at 9:30/8:30c.
