Brooklyn Nine-Nine Sets SNL Reunion, Taps Maya Rudolph for Season 4 Arc

Coming soon to Fox: It’s Maya & Marty Andy!

Maya Rudolph is set to reunite with her former Saturday Night Live castmate Andy Samberg via a multi-episode arc on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, TVLine has learned exclusively. The actress-comedienne will play a U.S. Marshal who is Jake (Samberg) and Holt’s (Andre Braugher) official liaison while they remain in the Witness Protection Program, and their only real contact to their former lives.

Rudolph will make her first appearance in the show’s Season 4 premiere on Sept. 20.

In addition to their shared SNL history, Samberg and Rudolph co-starred in this summer’s comedy mockumentary film Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.

  1. KT says:

I’ll be cautiously optimistic that her character won’t be obnoxious. I’m kind of tired of her coming into shows and just playing completely annoying, and stupid, characters (The Grinder, Angie Tribeca, as well as her character on Up All Night).

    • Anna says:

Really? I adored her character on The Grinder – her relationship with Dean had me dying. And those Stuart therapy sessions! 😂😂

  2. CE says:

Looks like I’ll be skipping those episodes! I don’t have a problem with her acting, but she isn’t a very nice person so.
