Fall TV Preview
Once Upon a Time Morpheus

Once Upon a Time Casts New Player in Rumple/Belle Adventure

“Rumbelle” is getting an assist from Morpheus.

Once Upon a Time has cast Giles Matthey (24: Live Another Day, True Blood) as the Greek god of dreams in Season 6, EW.com reports.

Morpheus is described as a quick-witted and insightful god, who is equally good at reading people as he is at hiding his own agenda. His ability to guide others through the world of dreams should come in handy in his interaction with Belle, who is currently under a sleeping curse. The character — who makes his debut in the Season 6 premiere — will also share scenes with Rumple.

Once Upon a Time returns Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c on ABC.

  1. Scribe says:

The way the Sandman films are going, this may be the only time we see Morpheus on screen. Personally, he should be the keeper of the Storybooks since he is the Prince of Stories.

  2. Nikki says:

I cannot wait to see this storyline! Very interesting!

  3. clintbrew says:

is morpheus gonna give belle a choice the blue pill or the red pill if she takes the blue she wake up or she take the red pill and go further down the rabbit hole

  4. Gail says:

On the TV stars back at work at the DC Legends of Tomorrow table read whose face is blurred out? I would guess Wentworth Miller.

  5. ScottJ says:

Strange….Rumple’s portrayer is working on a film in the UK. Maybe all his scenes will be done later.

    • Danielle says:

Robert Carlyle is back in Vancouver and on set. They filmed Trainspotting 2 around his TV schedule.

      • AnnaS says:

For Trainsoptting 2, Robert Carlyle had to cut his hair very short. I wonder if he will be wearing a wig in the first episodes of the new season. It will take a while for the “floof” to grow back–and Rumple/Gold would not be the same without The Hair.

  6. gm says:

Wow, does this mean we will see more than five minutes of Rumple and Belle this season? Maybe as much as three minutes in the premiere? It’s like Christmas and my birthday rolled into one!

    • Ajon1 says:

You had 2 centric episodes last season. a centric for each character too lol. Its not like we dont see them esp Rumple

    • Jan says:

Hard to believe, isn’t it? Of course one of them won’t be awake. I just hope that if Rumple enters her dreams as himself, she remembers after she wakes up. There’s no relationship development if they don’t interact when both are awake and themselves. I’m tired of their storyline revolving around them being apart. I wish Adam and Eddy had 1/100th the imagination of the fanfic writers when it comes to creating a satisfying and compelling story for Rumbelle that isn’t based on needless and OOC drama.

  7. Ajon1 says:

can Belle just let Rumple go. He is selfish and douche

    • Ash says:

I think Rumple is going to have to give up the power for true loves kiss. He needs to respect that Belle can’t love someone who loves his power more then her.

    • Nina says:

With all due respect, I think Rumple is the one who would be better off without Belle. Who needs a wife who’s a cheating whore(remember Will), not to mention a self-righteous, judgemental shrew who buddies up to her husband’s enemies(Hook) and claims to love him unconditionally, then dumps him or runs out whenever he does something she doesn’t like, and never listens to him.

  8. Ash says:

Watch as a he is a love interest for Belle. He will end up trying to us Belle as a vessel to enter the real world. Rumple will have to use his power to save Belle and Belle forgives Rumple despite there issues not being resolved.
