Fall TV Preview
Taylor Lautner in Scream Queens

Taylor Lautner Joins Scream Queens Season 2 as Series Regular

Taylor Lautner is about to shape shift into the world’s prettiest doctor.

The Twilight actor is checking into Scream Queens‘ hospital-themed second season in a series-regular role, TVLine has learned. He’ll be playing “Dr. Cassidy Cascade,” an MD who suffers from a strange medical condition (hmmm… ) and becomes a suspect when a series of tragic events plagues the institution.

Lautner will be making rounds alongside fellow Scream Queens rookie John Stamos, who is set to portray fellow doc Brock Holt, the hospital’s brilliant — but secretive — head surgeon.

For Season 2, Ryan Murphy’s horror satire is eschewing college life for the medical world, with the action taking place at a hospital where the most fascinating and bizarre cases are under observation. As previously reported, Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell, Billie Lourd and Niecy Nash are all set to reprise their Season 1 characters.

Prior to his breakout role as Jacob Black in the Twilight franchise, Lautner cut his teeth on the small screen with guest stints on The Bernie Mac Show and My Wife and Kids, before landing the full-time role of Christian Slater’s son in NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy. He most recently co-starred in the U.K. sitcom Cuckoo.

Scream Queens‘ launches Season 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 9/8c.

    Ugh…

  2. "A" says:

Dr. Cassidy Cascade aka Werewolf M.D.

  3. Matt C. says:

Oh God. Suddenly my interest in this show has disappeared. Taylor Lautner is seriously terrible. How on earth did the casting go from John Stamos to THIS???

  4. Leanne says:

not sure why this show is still on. My guess is for the young teens.

  5. Lindsay says:

Before you get your panties in a bunch about this, check out Cuckoo (it’s on Netflix in Canada, not sure about US). He’s hilarious

    • lechatnoir says:

it is dreadful. They keep cranking those episodes because in the Uk, there is no ratings bloodbath like there is in the Uk and I don’t know a single person who actually checks this out. Lautner would be a great addition for either the originals or the teenage werewolf. That’s his bread and butter.

    • Jbj says:

It’s on Netflix US, too. And, he is totally hilariously in it! I think he will fit in with this cast very well.

    • Lala says:

I love him in Cuckoo…never thought he could pull off comedy but he does it very well. He’s the perfect fit for Scream Queens anyway…hilarious, good looking and young plus I’m sure he can pull off ‘Dense’ very well…if ever he needs to channel his inner Chad Radwell.

  6. N says:

so is Bille not coming back

  7. steven says:

Why does everybody hate Taylor Lautner?

  8. Jim says:

    A doctor? This guy? Hahahahahaha.

  9. Dennis says:

Why so much hate? He actually has charisma and is a good actor. And a really nice guy. Happy for him.

  10. Gerald Christie says:

Wow, he’s put on a lot of weight…not that there’s anything wrong with that but still. Hopefully, the show improves as S1 was a hot mess.

  11. rahajicho says:

    Dies in first episode.

  12. Priscilla says:

He will be a great fit for the cast, young and hot!

  13. Lala says:

OH Get over yourselves haters…he’s a decent enough actor…for Scream Queens he’ll do just fine.

  14. Tony says:

I imagine all the hate is because of Twilight and not necessarily Taylor Lautner himself. He is a pretty decent actor. And I’m sure before hand, no one seriously thought Nick Jonas would make for entertaining TV. He was one of the best parts of S1

  15. roguelm says:

No tea, no shade but his face is looking a little bloated.

  16. Weezy says:

Interesting you didn’t mention that Taylor and Emma Roberts were in some Nick show together back in the day….I’d say that is where he really cut his teeth.
