Go On's Tonita Castro Dead at 63

Tonita Castro, best known for her recurring role as Fausta on the short-lived Matthew Perry sitcom Go On, died of stomach cancer on Sunday, THR reports. She was 63.

The onetime teacher first got her start in show business as a news reader at Radio Express in Los Angeles. She was swiftly promoted to co-host of a Spanish-language show, where she was employed for nearly two decades.

Castro began her transition to acting in 2005 with a guest appearance on The Shield. Before booking Go On, she appeared on such programs as Dexter, Southland, Glee, Two and a Half Men, The Sarah Silverman Program, Raising Hope, Awkward and The League.

Following Go On‘s cancellation in May 2013, Castro booked a starring role on the one-and-done Fox sitcom Dads. Her other TV credits include Kroll Show, The Grinder and Life in Pieces.

Castro is survived by her husband.
