Vanessa Williams The Librarians

TVLine Items: Vanessa Williams Joins Librarians, Top Gear Trailer and More

Vanessa Williams is slipping back into the familiar role of “no-nonsense boss,” this time to keep TNT’s Librarians in line.

The Emmy-nominated actress will recur on Season 3 of the action-comedy series as the brilliant-but-tough General Rockwell, our sister site Variety reports.

Head of the top-secret black ops government agency known as DOSA — the Department of Statistical Anomalies — Rockwell sets out to apprehend the Librarians and get her hands on the magical artifacts inside the Library.

The Librarians returns later this year.

“The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will air Sunday, Jan. 29”. January….2017?!

  2. mooshki says:

Darn, I was hoping to read she’d be replacing Rebecca Romijn. Her acting is atrocious – it’s very distracting.

  3. Jennifer says:

Wait, So John Laroquette is out? No!!!! “The Librarians And the End of the Show.”

    • Lucy says:

I don’t think she’s replacing anybody — the character role sounds like a villain or some other type of antagonist.

      • Jennifer says:

But in the article it states “Vanessa Williams is slipping back into the familiar role of “no-nonsense boss,” this time to keep TNT’s Librarians in line.” Sounds like she is taking over for JL. Say it ain’t so!!!!

        • fiberlicious says:

I think that’s a reference to her role on Ugly Betty?

        • Adam says:

It also states that she is trying to apprehend the Librarians. She is not replacing anyone, she is the new baddie for this season.

          • Jennifer says:

OK. I feel better. That part was added to the article later, after I read and commented. Love John Laroquette!

  4. Cat says:

Love “The Librarians”! Do NOT want Vanessa Williams in this program! Don’t get rid of John Larroquette! No changes necessary to this program!

  5. TvPeong says:

Yay! I’m excited to see what Vanessa Williams will bring to the show. I liked Vanessa and Rebecca Romjin in Ugly Betty.
