Scream Season 2 Trailer: A 'New' Killer Raises Hell in Lakewood

“Welcome back, horror fans,” indeed.

MTV on Monday unveiled the first official trailer for Scream‘s upcoming second season, which welcomes Emma back to Lakewood in the hopes of returning to “normal.” (Yeah, good luck with that.)

Along with the usual suspects — a term that also works literally in this case — a new crop of characters will be joining the MTV slasher in Season 2, including Zoe, an major over-achiever with a big secret to hide, and Gustavo, a “dark and brooding” outsider with a deep appreciation for all things horror.

Scream returns Monday, May 30 at 11/10c. Hit PLAY on the trailer above, then drop a comment with your hopes for Season 2.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

    14? I think it’s still 10 episodes…

  2. pileobunnies says:

So is it too late to drop the terrible season 1 cast?

    • thisismenow says:

They will likely kill off a few of them this season and replace them with new characters (that hopefully can act better). I would say Emma is pretty much the only one guaranteed to make it through the second season. She’ll be the Sidney of the television franchise and you’ll always assume she will finally get knocked off and she will still be there and you’ll wonder why.

  3. Lisa says:

Whoever made that trailer deserves a raise. The editing, music, and conception of it all work very well. I enjoyed the show last year for what it was. Harmless summer soapy fun

I agree and this trailer for the first time is making me excited for the second season. Hopefully they will learn from the mistakes of the past and season two could turn out rather exciting…

  4. Scott says:

    They killed Brooke :'(

  5. Josh says:

Hopefully the Killer this season is one of the originals from season 1 and not a newbie. As long as Emma, Audrey and Noah survive!!

  6. Joey Padron says:

The trailer for new season looks good. Can’t wait to see new season at the end of this month!

  7. James says:

Was this show on so late last season? Because Mondays @11 sort of screams “we expect no ratings, so let’s get this over with”

  8. It got bumped to 11:00?

  9. Debbie W says:

I assume there is a minimum word count for these articles?

  10. Jamie says:

Horror fans don’t watch this crap.
