Killjoys, Dark Matter Get Season 2 Premiere Dates at Syfy

Syfy’s bravest interplanetary bounty hunters will report back for duty this summer.

The Season 2 premiere of Killjoys has been set for Friday, July 1 at 9/8c. It will be followed by the sophomore run of fellow sci-fi fave Dark Matter at 10/9c, which will continue to tell tales about the intergalactic conspiracy that rocks the foundation of the crew aboard the spaceship Raza.

Killjoys‘ latest batch of episodes will follow Dutch, Johnny and D’avin as they attempt to unravel secrets kept by Dutch’s former mentor Khlyen. Meanwhile, the trio will face their biggest threat yet courtesy of “the RAC” (Reclamation Apprehension Coalition).

TV Insider first reported on the premiere dates.

Do Killjoys and Dark Matter make for the perfect summer lineup?

Killjoys, I’m so excited! J1 can’t come soon enough.

  2. Ian says:

I did fall in love with both of these series. Syfy is on fire with most of their shows.

They really have been getting their act together, although Hunters left me cold. Anyone watching Wynonna Earp? It should be terrible based on the premise but the cast is really selling it.

      • Avinash says:

        Wynonna Earp is kinda terrible.

        • Marilyn says:

I thought the same thing about Wynonna Earp at first, but it grew on me as I gave it a chance. It’s a fun ride…more foamy, campy and easier to access than some others. It’s a nice change of flavor. I agree with you about Hunter.

I absolutely kind of love Wynonna Earp, the acting is awesome. Worth looking past the bad demon CGI for.

I love that Killjoys has added more vivid color. Hopefully, the dulled, low color trend in television is ending. The writers are also improving the complexity of the plots making the show much more interesting so far in season 2. They are getting better at using “connective tissue.” Thank goodness because the cast was and is stellar.

Happy Killjoys premiere date have finally been announced! Can’t wait to see new season in July!

  4. Katherine215 says:

So excited to see these returning!! Syfy has a really great lineup lately – 12 Monkeys, The Expanse, these two. I’m still sad/mad about some of their cancellations but I’m glad someone is producing good scifi.

  5. mlippert255 says:

I’m psyched for both of them! I was on edge until I heard they were renewed and have been eagerly awaiting their return since.

  6. Luis says:

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  7. Roger says:

BIG WOOHOO for Dark Matter ! little woohoo for Killjoys.

  8. Couch Mom says:

    YAY!

  9. Jess says:

So excited. Love those two shows

  10. John Hover says:

Great show!!!! Can’t wait for season 2. Hit the nail on the head with this one.

  11. Baconeater says:

“Intergalactic” conspiracy? I really don’t imagine the show “Dark Matter” extending to other galaxies. More like just our Solar System. Perhaps some aliens are involved, from some other start system, probably same galaxy.

  12. Sheila says:

    Loking forward to both shows.

  13. minoxman99 says:

Killjoys, Dark Matter and The Expanse are the best Sci Fi shows….ever…..period…..

  14. Dawn Lynch says:

Feels like I’ve been waiting forever! Great lineup with them together!

  15. watch both by mistake and feel in love with both programs…

  16. Dave says:

Yes they do. They are a dynamite combination.

  17. Babao says:

Love Dark Matter…. Can not absolutely wait for the second season.

Where do you buy these online? Shows on almost every other network are available *somewhere*. Whether it be Hulu or pay-per-episode on Google Play or Amazon, or even the network’s web site. SyFy seems to failing at this. Who is going to watch if we have to watch live or DVR?

    • Emily says:

I watched season 1 of Dark Matter on Netflix; haven’t heard of Killjoys before this.

      • shifter01 says:

Right, season 1. But I mean season 2 as they are aired. I can’t find season 2 of either show (I guess this applies to all SyFy shows) online anywhere, aside from piracy, which I guess I may have to resort to despite being wiling to pay for them.
