Adventures in Babysitting Movie Gets Premiere Date at Disney Channel

Polish up your silver Thor helmet, because Disney Channel’s new take on Adventures in Babysitting will arriveon Friday, June 24 at 8/7c, the network announced Tuesday.

Inspired by the 1987 Elisabeth Shue film, Disney’s upcoming TV movie — the 100th original flick for the cabler — stars Girl Meets World’s Sabrina Carpenter and Descendants‘ Sofia Carson as rival babysitters who must survive a disastrous night of kid-wrangling together.

The channel will air a 10-minute sneak peek at the movie on Friday, June 3; the full film will be available, via VOD and the Disney Channel app, on June 17 — a week before its premiere date.

In other scheduling news, the live-action blogging comedy series Bizaardvark will make its debut on June 24 at 9:45 pm, immediately following Adventures in Babysitting.

  1. Oscar the Oddity says:

This won’t get anywhere as close at being as good as the original. I suppose it doesn’t need to since it is targeted at 8-12 year olds, but I won’t be watching. I’ll be too busy waiting for new episodes of “Power Rangers Dino Super Charge” to air on Nick.

Disney, I miss “So Weird.” How about bringing that show back with a revamp (but, you know, one that is good and pays homage to the original)?

  2. Avinash says:

Why are they releasing it a week early?

  3. Scotch says:

Did the original get watched or thrown out the window of an idiot? Looks like the ripped off 8 mile for the footage. it should have been left alone.

  4. Shamonei says:

I Don know if its going to work but lets see ill try because I really want to watch the movie

  5. Jason says:

When is this on in the UK?
