Fuller House Season 2

Fuller House Season 2: John Brotherton Promoted to Series Regular

Matt may not have received D.J.’s final rose at the end of Fuller House‘s first season, but don’t count him out just yet.

John Brotherton has been promoted to series regular for Season 2, our sister site Deadline reports, ensuring plenty of tension between Matt and D.J. — both in and out of the office — to come. (As TVLine reported last week, Matt will attempt to get over D.J. with a little help from Cristal, an extremely flexible hot yoga instructor.)

Brotherton is the second actor to receive a promotion ahead of Season 2; Ashley Liao, who plays Ramona’s friend Lola, was made a series regular just last week.

Your hopes for Matt, now that Brotherton is joining the show full-time? Drop ’em in a comment below.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Good for him! I’ve been a fan of Brotherton’s since his turn as Jared Banks on “One Life to Live”, glad he’s finding success!

  2. OLTL Fan says:

Amen. Loved him on OLTL. He deserves all the success he can get.

  3. bar says:

He’s so boring and not really even attractive. Cool.

  4. Abe Froman says:

Ugh, he was the weakest part of the show.

  5. alistaircrane says:

Not impressed. I ship DJ and Steve. :-/

    • Cara says:

Oh please: Steve was creepy stalker who was always one step away from wearing her face as mask while screwing her corpse.

  6. Jaime says:

WAY better than creepy stalker Steve.

  7. chadcronin says:

Yes, he was a delight on the first season. I am very happy he will be back full time

  8. Pamela says:

Good to have him as long as he’s not a romantic interest of DJ.

  9. Diz says:

Blah, he didn’t do anything for me.

  10. Mysteri says:

Honestly, I actually thought he was one of the better parts of the show and more likeable then most of the main cast.

  11. Cassie says:

Come on guys. We all know that DJ and Steve are the end game.

John Brotherton has a way of making you like a character just by his own charms.

  12. J says:

He honestly added something to Fuller House and was a really great addition to the cast. Happy he’ll be back more often next season. Does anybody know the episode count of S2?.

  13. Claire says:

I’m okay with this. I wanted DJ/Steve to work, but they decided to make him kinda creepy. I still feel like Steve could be redeemed but I don’t know if they’ll invest the time in that.

Really, Matt would be an easy choice for DJ if they hadn’t introduced the idea of DJ/Steve possibly being a thing, so it’ll be interesting to see how they resolve that.

  14. jalahyacinth says:

YAY MATT! Steve has gotten… creepy. I’m really loving Matt’s charm.

  15. Brittany says:

I used to love Steve, but now I vote for Matt! Come on, he showed he cared by moving to San Francisco and giving her half of his business! Please pick Matt! Please!!!
